What is your annual family income? and how many people are supported by it? The reason I'm curious has to do with the lack of interest I've observed here when posts about rising costs of food or fuel are posted.

I always get a kick out of the lies they have to tell themselves and others to support the fantasy world they've created for themselves.
So far, 17 people voted they make over $200K/yr. There may be 2 people on the whole island who make that much. The rest are liars.
This one probably does, but it's her husband who's the breadwinner and she's a kept woman who, on her own, would be lucky to live in the gutter.

75. I'm a 1% er...but I don't see "the price of food" as a major issue at any level.
Maybe it's because I live in the big City, but there are plenty of places to shop for food (Korean store for greens, Arab stores for staples), and fresh ingredients are very economical. If I bothered to stop off in Chinatown, the cost of vegetables would be even lower.
The others (Sen. Walter Sobchak, Vattel, yends21012, skippy66, Abnredleg, importDavid, greymattermom, joelz, skippy66, Abnredleg, Chan790, lapfog_1, Still Sensible, Proud Public Servant, taught_me_patience, 1StrongBlackMan, rufus dog) are lying through their teeth.

22. Substantially over $200K.
I don't want to say how much...but we're wealthy, not middle-class. I'm never going to want for or be concerned for the price of anything...yet, I'm a staunch economic liberal. Nobody should have the kind of wealth I was born into.

86. 250-350k depending on the year and how well our businesses do. It really doesn't feel like that much. We rent, drive modest cars, eat at home, and don't take lavish vacations. As it relates to food and gas... those expenses don't really cross my mind. We pay, probably $1300/mo for both for a family of four. Food and gas could double and it wouldn't really impact our finances much.
These dolts aren't bright enough to tie their shoes without a 50,000 page gov't manual telling them how, and they want reasonable people to believe this?
Hey primitives, it's more than obvious you're lying. Keep it up. We love the laughs.

94. How did you get it in your head that this was an appropriate question anywhere?
It is astonishing.
Will you next ask people for photos of their genitals?

DUmmie says......"I'm a staunch economic liberal. Nobody should have the kind of wealth I was born into.".....well, give it the hell away, if you feel that guilty DUmmie.

Yet although you find the wealth you were born into disgusting, I see you still are holding on to it desperately. Tell me DUmmie, why do any of the dummies on du still beg for money if you are so wealthy and find your wealth so grotesque? Duplicitous piece of crap.
Edit to add that your ungrateful self may have been born into it, but someone in your family worked their ass off for what you are enjoying now. Maybe a little appreciation and perhaps honoring of their memory and hard work might be more appropriate then guilt. :hammer: :banghead:damn

Sheesh. The problems we have to solve for them.
GIVE IT AWAY! If you truly believe NOBODY should have the kind of wealth you have, GIVE IT AWAY!
Problem solved. See how much smarter than you we are?

I bet the same DUmmies that claim to be doing so well are the very one that scream, "TAX THE EVIL RICH"....but not me because I'm not rich.
The Kennedy family was masters at being tax cheats/dodgers. They owned a large fancy vacation compound in Miami that they donated to a tax exempt charity that paid no property tax on it....BUT....it was stipulated in the donation agreement that the Kennedy's retain the final say in who and when anyone could use the place. They never allowed anyone to use it but themselves. Generous bastards , weren't they.

You have to remember that DUmmy cali's judgment is affected greatly by her crippling addiction to pain medication and alcoholism.
After wallduding herself into permanent unemployment, she began drinking heavily.
Shortly afterward, in a drunken haze, she fell and broke one of her hind legs.
During recuperation she developed a ravenous appetite for oxycontin that persists to this day.
She documented every step of this descent at the DUmp, an indicator of the soundness of her judgment.
On the other hand, before this crushing addiction she wallduded herself in l'affaire de earwig, an example of appalling judgment itself.

Thirty percent of the DUmpmonkeys make over $100K per year.
That's the ticket.

Not duplicitous at all...
The DUmbshit is just so racked with guilt over having a relative that worked his ass off and "exploited the masses", that he - in his pure, unblemished kind-heartedness :whatever: - cannot bear to saddle a fellow leftist cocksucker with the cross he alone must carry. :thatsright:
[/sarc] (Damn; do you have any idea idea how hard it was to type that steaming pile of horseshit with a straight face?)

When talking of affluent primitives, there's this one:

1. Upon arriving in Rome, our host served us lunch.
We had a pasta with garlic, red pepper and olive oil, then a salad with tuna. We had a few cookies and some watermelon for dessert.
All of this washed down with wine, then a coffee with grappa.
I am just now waking up from my nap, which took place during a huge thunderstorm.
Does life get any better?
I'm having a little, uh, problem, with the cbayer primitive's lack of sensitivity, her chutzpah.
Skins's island is currently clogged with threads about how hard primitives are finding it, making ends meet, paying the bills, buying groceries, feeding and clothing the children, the cost of drugs and dope, whatnot, and she's throwing it into their faces reminding them that she has oodles of money and is spending it on three months in an expensive servant-staffed villa near Rome.

Didn't the DUmmies see the same poll when we did it at CU when CC was down? We actually had to start the numbers a little higher as over 90% of the votes showed we all have incomes over 500k, and several were 1M plus......I just went back and checked and we ended up with 232 votes all from long time members of both boards. I don't want to post the link as I don't want the lurking DUmmies lurking around looking for it.
100K that is what most of us here pay just in taxes.

He even had to recycle the plastic on the windows.

"Washed down" is as distasteful as v****e or y***y.
"Washed down," to me, suggests that she guzzled it with siphon-like power.
"Sipped" probably would've been a better choice of words if she wanted to euphemize the truth.
But the cbayer primitive's lack of class is really pathetic; the fizzy one, who's on that thread, who lives on the edge, from paycheck-to-paycheck, and who can barely afford the dope and beer that she washes down, is wonderingly envious.
For a preacher's kid, the cbayer primitive is remarkably insensitive to the sufferings of others; surely from a young age she was taught that there's things one has, but which one shouldn't brag about, flaunt, in lesser-blessed people's faces.

Up here, we call that a 'given' for people like that.
