Not your usual obstacle along the road . . . I'm only posting a few paragraphs, because the story's not all that long.

This photo taken on Friday shows a dead body on a gurney that fell out of a coroner's van and onto a busy roadway.

Drivers traveling on a busy Bucks County road on Friday had to navigate an unusual obstruction -- a gurney carrying a corpse.

A Bucks County Coroner's Office van was traveling down the 100 block of E. Street Road in Lower Southampton, Pa. around noon when the vehicle's rear door malfunctioned, the coroner's office confirms. The body then rolled out of the van and onto the road near the Bucks Crossing Shopping Center.

A photo from the scene shows the body, wrapped in a sheet, sheet sitting in the middle of the street as cars passed.

If I'm part of the family of that unfortunate soul, I'm pissed and there's a few lawyers fighting over who is going to represent us.

So sorry for the loss of your family member. And to have it made worse by this happening. Prayers for you and your family

This seems like something from a movie.  However, I always thought they would strap the gurney down so it wouldn't roll around. I know they do that in ambulances.

Ummm, the guy was already dead.  I don't think he cared, personally.

We'll have to wait and see if he starts haunting the driver.  :panic:

Yeah, it's kind of a moot point by then.

Seen a lot of problems with funeral homes in the news lately.

We have a dilly of a story across the border in Mass of a funeral home that was charged with the State Att. who signed the death certifies of people en mass, all the funeral director had to do was to fill in the name and date or death.

Someone went into outrage and the Home was raided. A outside building was found to have hundreds of boxes of cremated  remains, some broken open and spilling on the floor.

When the police went in body's were found  stuffed into non working freezers.
This was just a few years ago, most of us had forgotten the problem until this week.

Now we find the problem is still with us, News that, speaking of storing things in a storage container, the police have found the funeral home had rented 3-5 storage lockers in different towns full of bodies.

What fun to bid on a  storage unite and find a dozen dead bodies inside the freezers.
