a thread for a newcomers [franksolich: newcomers to the nuthouse] - please introduce yourself.
This discussion thread is pinned.
have had a couple noobs put some serious posts in the pinned thread here.
this one just appeared from lost in america
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1151&pid=5328
i have a thought that, since this seems to happen here, where someone signs up to post, but cant start a thread, maybe we can have a newcomers thread.
i could pin it, but i think i will let it bounce a bit first.
perhaps the oldtimers can check in, then when someone new posts, it will show up for as many people as possible.

1. so- lost in america
hope you are out there, and feeling better in the morning light.
please get some serious help.
i know that we had a conversation here one time about hotline numbers, and i remember it being informative, but not much else.
i hope that now that we have reformed so much of the insurance rules for mental health that people are not afraid to go to the er when they really feel they have no where to go. personally, i feel like this would be best, and that it is immediate. you might get a 3 day stay, unlikely to be more, at least until new insurance rules start to leak down that far.
we are all good talkers here, but it is always difficult to when you see a post like this, as you just cant let people think that they can get rescued here.
you just never know what the night clerk is doing when he is supposed to be sitting this desk.
but please do talk.
everybody.
<<<thinks the lost primitive's gone, never to return.

3. Oh dear. I didn't see that post.
A "welcome, introduce yourself as you are" thread is a good idea.
Take good care of yourselves, everyone -- you too, Lost In America.

Wait a minute-
Did a chicken-lovin' lesbo on the down low just ask a bipolar bear how he's hanging?
:p

I suspect Big Mo's trying to put on a happy face, a casual, informal, breezy, nonchalant sort of face, to give the impression she wasn't affected by all those criticisms and attacks leveled against her by lesser primitives some weeks ago.
I dunno if Big Mo was really bothered by the primitive rabble, but if she was, kudos to her for her (at least superficial) defiance of a mob that isn't even good enough to lace her boots.

I wouldn't tell her shit. She would use it against you just like she does with her "tenants"

Maybe.
Remember, though, franksolich's new, and inevitably fleeting, transient, short-lived, regard for Big Mo's based upon something else.
She's a stellar primitive, one of the best they've got, and she was so savagely and brutally attacked by the lowly lumpenunterprimitiven who can't hold a candle to her, when it comes to primitivity.
The primitives need to learn to respect their betters; they should be kissing Big Mo's ass, not kicking it.

When those kids are grown, they'll probably come back to the urban chicken farm and thank Big Mo for consigning their childhoods to the Cook County orphanage.
Cook County orphans are legendary for coming back to thank people.
