Commuting back to the warren last night, the evening talk show host played a pair of sound bytes of Obama. The first sound byte was the president saying that every economic indicator showed the US economy was thriving. The second was the president dismissing allegations of government waste, fraud and abuse by stating corporations have the same problem.
The radio host was playing the clips because he was incredulous Obama could be so out-of-touch and flippant. I don't think Obama was out-of-touch. I think he knew exactly what he was saying.
Using past as prologue we know that Obama likes to unconstitutionally take money. The IRS recently released a rule that says if an employer dumps employees into the federal health insurance exchanges the company will be charged $100 a day per employee. This is not part of ObamaCoup. This is blatantly unconstitutional. Only Congress can set taxes and legal penalties/
We also know, via Dick Durbin and other actions by Obama, that Obama feels entitled to "borrow" congress' lawmaking power whenever he feels congress won't give him what he wants when he wants it.
My conspiracy theory:
The president intends to steal a large sum of money from the economy by charging a penalty for a regulation he creates and enforces without any congressional authority. The penalty will be such that many businesses will not be able to comply so they will be forced to pay. He'll then dismiss complaints it is hurting the economy by saying "They can afford it, they're just being greedy." When people say the money should not go to the government where it will be mismanaged Obama will respond by repeating his bromide that corporations also waste money.
That money will be used to solidify his power/buy votes/wreck the economy/spark a constitutional crisis/all the above
What's the over-under on my theory?

I agree that Obama is trying to force us into a constitutional crisis. He as much as said so when he declared that he would work to find a way around the Hobby Lobby ruling.
He could pull out a gun and shoot John Boehner on live TV and the gop would not do anything.
Obama benefits from Black Privilege and he is abusing it to the utmost.

Last night on FOX, a liberal law professor, Johnathan Turley, said just that. Pretty bad when your own party recognizes it.

Jonathan Turley recently wrote about the Halbig case to be decided soon.
This is the case before the Washington DC court that is arguing that since ObamaCoup specifically says only state exchanges can offer insurance subsidies the federal exchange cannot offer subsidies. That would gut coverage for the 8 million enrollees ProSense keeps harping about.
Turley writes:
But the D.C. Circuit Court may see things quite differently, especially in light of recent Supreme Court opinions holding that the Obama administration has exceeded its authority and violated separation of powers.
In Michigan vs. Bay Mills Indian Community, for example, Justice Elena Kagan noted that “this court does not revise legislation … just because the text as written creates an apparent anomaly as to some subject it does not address.†In Utility Air Regulatory Group vs. EPA, Justice Antonin Scalia, writing for the majority, stressed that “an agency has no power to tailor legislation to bureaucratic policy goals by rewriting unambiguous statutory terms.†And a third strike came last week in National Labor Relations Board vs. Canning, when the Supreme Court unanimously found that President Obama had violated the Constitution in circumventing Congress through his use of recess appointments…
Moreover, a ruling against the administration would mean that Obama has been responsible for ordering what could amount to billions of dollars to be paid from the federal Treasury without authority. And it would mean the administration has committed yet another violation of the separation of powers.

Snugs I don't think anything your saying should even be considered a CT.
CT's are things like 9/11 being an inside job. DU is a reality based community. Obama is the intellectual heir to Reagan...stuff like that.
What you're stating IMO is a very real hypothesis of what's happening based on facts.

Far be it for me to speak for Da Wabbit, but I don't think he could take more than a week of the insanity of political office without snapping, and going on a killing spree. Not necessarily a bad thing, buuuut... :shucks:

If it were me...I'd put it all out there on the table the very first presser I had to announce I was running for office. That way there's no "gotcha" from the left and the media.

Not sure Mr. Bunny, there are so many conspiracy theory's out there one can take their pick and run with it.
My best one is that this has been a long time in the making. Started perhaps 5 years before he was born, [where ever] and a great deal of money behind it.
The idea was to find a family with a lot of money and go for the gold. We do not know for sure who his father is or was and come down to it if his mother really is his mother.
So much is up in the air, someone had money, not his so called family in Kenya that lives in shacks to this day, his so called Aunt that lives on section 8 in DC, or the so called uncle that Obama says he lived with for 2 weeks.
Indonesia, now his adopted father who raised him as a Muslim is also interesting. Who was he and why is nothing said about his family background.
One only thinks of these things when the little bell rings in the back of the head to make one aware things just Ain't right. You know we call it female intuition but men have it also.
My intuition says Obama is just the gate way for others to come and build on his policy's that will make Obama look like a hero of some sort as the true monsters come in. Don't matter what party, there are people out there that will sell their soul to the devil for power.
We have been had------- by the wealthy Muslims and some one should look into Moo's family, what ties they have to the Middle East.
