Title: Crazy Horse vs Mt. Rushmore.
Post by: JohnnyReb on June 26, 2014, 07:36:48 AM
Son was at both places yesterday. They saw the Crazy Horse monument first and then Mt. Rushmore. He said Rushmore would have been better if he had seen it first. Says Crazy Horse is huge and by comparison makes Rushmore look small.

They will be on the road today swinging down through Frank country. They will stay in North Platte, NE. tonight. Then on to 2 days in Nashville where they will attend the Grand Ole Opry Saturday night.

I told son to be sure to buy his mom a velvet Elvis portrait.....he didn't understand it was a joke.

South out of Custer, SD to North Platte -your son will be driving right through dutch country!

Tell your boy to remember the password, in case he gets stopped for speeding: "franksolich".

I think Mt. Rushmore is in a prettier location, but that Crazy Horse monument is pretty spectacular.  Also think not being Federally run helps the Ziolkowski's to be able to do more interesting things at the Crazy Horse site.  Hope the Feds never get their hands on it.

I just watched a video and it said he (the old man) turned down 10 million from the government. Said he wanted it done with private funds.
