Title: UPOs (unidentified primitive objects)
Post by: franksolich on June 25, 2014, 09:49:23 AM
Last week, I posted these--but I forget where--asking decent and civilized people what these primitive objects might possibly be.

^^^identified as some sort of massage thing

^^^identified as a mosquito repellent

Now this has come up:

(http://i949.photobucket.com/albums/ad335/photoatcc/misc/mags01_zps1f90da56.jpg) (http://s949.photobucket.com/user/photoatcc/media/misc/mags01_zps1f90da56.jpg.html)

That black thing around the left ankle (right side of photograph, though).

It needs pointed out the primitive is in the primitive's early 70s, not especially overweight but could lose a few pounds maybe, reasonably active for a primitive the primitive's age.

Is this necessarily some sort of physical therapy thing, or might it be something else?

Looks like an ankle brace to me.

These are primitives, though, so it's probably a house arrest ankle bracelet.

I'm suspecting it's some sort of support for maybe a weak ankle or something, but I'd like to be sure it isn't rather a case of mismatched socks.

It would be very easy to conceal a house arrest bracelet underneath a neoprene ankle sock, or even a tube sock pushed down on your ankle.

Maybe dutch or someone else in law enforcement can explain the details of how you can go to walmart or some other such place without setting off the bracelet-  I'm not sure how they work for general movement.

Or maybe someone's mole could ask at the DUmp.  :-)
