Could somebody please explain the right-wing IRS scandal?
Why is it not mentioned on DU?
Why were Lerner's email deleted?

1. Its a non-event, imo,
which is sometimes mentioned at DU; saw something a while ago.
Not deliberately deleted, IRS says function of old technology, which doesn't/can't retain all of this stuff (which is different from taxpayer's records, this is e.mail.)
^^^the husband-hating primitive, even though the poor guy's dead.

If you tried to use the same excuse with the IRS about your own tax records, they would nail your ass to the wall.

Why is everyone talking about her laptop crashing. All those emails should be on the server backups.

Of course they don't believe the excuse. But it acts against Republicans so they fully support it. They fully support the blatant obstruction of justice we saw today. They fully support using the weight of govt to punish and outlaw conservative organizations.
In fact, DUmmies do not support any of the freedoms in the Bill of Rights. They are tyrants: every last one of them.
1) DUmmies say they are against the death penalty. When they come to power they will embrace it with open loving arms. It will be for political enemies.
2) DUmmies say they are for freedom of speech and religion, but only if they approve what you speak before hand, other wise see #1.
3) DUmmies say they are against water boarding and other "tortures," But they will use it liberally when they get in power.
Step by step they are pushing this country into a totalitarian hellhole.
DUmmies are the monsters of our age.

IRS is claiming server backups are recycled after 6 months.
They're lying their asses off. Not to mention, Lerner stated it was due to a hard drive crash. Now, when someone with an IQ above 5 told her e-mail is stored on the server, they came up with this bullshit. The mere fact that this doesn't bother the damn Dims one ****ing bit is why we're well on our way to the end. It's Banana Republic time when truth doesn't matter, only party.

So funny and odd how people from well connected family's caught with drugs, the evidence comes up missing.
Oh Well, things go missing everyday for the well connected mistakenly arrested.
We have old Teddy who bless his heart had to swim for his life. Then Old Barney Frank who had no idea his room mate was running a Gay Brothel out of his own home.
There is no decency except for the under classes, all is forgiven for the wealthy and those with family of influence.
Those with the least decency with money are the ones to make the laws that the decent law abiding must follow.
No big deal, has been this way since time began.

This thread is running through Mole trap territory. I'm surprised that the OP and a couple of "rational" responses were not immediately jumped on. Remember, this is a "Phony Scandal;" therefore, ANY questions even hinting of the possibility of communist/IRS misdeeds would attract MIRT like a DUmmie to cheetos.

They are very reasonable to deal with; I've done it.
Elleng thinks that she's safe from the IRS since she's just a stupid, dirt poor DUmmy who isn't involved with the Tea Party and her heart is filled only with love for Sir Golfsalot. But no one is safe from the lying a-holes at the IRS.

The really sad part about this, to be expected though, is why the MSM ain't pouncing on it. If it was Bush, it would be on TV every night.
Beware dummies... your guy has set the bar. Sooner or later there will be a Repub in the White house and will do the same thing. I expect ya all to say it's OK when they do it too.
The IRS is notorious for putting requirements on businesses, and state governments for that matter with the threat of withholding funding, that they exempt themselves from. Notorious. Ask anybody that has to deal with them. Biggest bunch of arrogant assholes I have ever seen. They are worse than the local health department nazis by a factor of 10.

The first thing I would do is give every IRS employee 1 month to pay all back taxes and penalties they owe or be terminated. Hell, I'd do that for all federal employees if possible. There is no reason for any federal employee to owe taxes and penalties. Their pay checks should have been garnished long ago.

I agree with one exception... I'd let the employee set up a payment plan if they could not cover the bill in one payment. Then I would make sure the employee understands they will go to federal prison if the miss a payment. The IRS should set the example if they are gonna be assholes to the ones that pay their salaries. :cheersmate:

Conservatives have morals and a belief in law, two things missing on the left. Their motto is the "the end justifies the means", no matter what laws are broken or who gets hurt.
