I have an eating disorder and I have fought with it most of my life. I'm 5'3 and got down to 79 lbs. at my worst. I'm starting to feel tendencies to over exercise and stop eating.

It is a struggle. Do we have an eating disorder board on DU?

I weigh 114 right now, but I don't want to go back to the place where I was emaciated.

And of course, someone must "But look at MEEEE"

5. That's a difficult one, and it used to be me.

I think I did some serious damage to myself, especially whenever I got the flu or pneumonia and didn't have adequate reserves to properly fight off the infections.

When I'm in my darkest place I simply don't feel like eating anything. I don't get hungry. Trouble is I used to run obsessively, and I often had jobs that involved heavy labor like loading and unloading trucks and I don't think my body had the calories or nutrients it needed to properly repair itself, which is why all my joints are totally ****ed up and painful now. I go to bed in the evening when I hurt too much, and I get out of bed in the morning when I hurt too much.

Some of the anti-depressants and other psych meds people complain about because they cause weight gain keep me at a normal weight. Go figure, and I know that's not fair to people who have trouble keeping weight off.
As one would imagine, pharmaceuticals play a part in a DUmmie's daily living.

DUmmie motto:  Better living thru chemistry!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if someone could develop a drug that destroyed liberal thinking.  I know right now there is a cure for liberal thinking, but the results are messy and ammo ain't cheap.

The cure for liberalism is to get off the drugs!

Not according to that ex-KGB spy that worked on the "demoralization" of America.
He said we are stuck with them.

Drug use and mental problems do seem to run rampant with the people who post on DU.

You would think that eventually they would make the connection, and figure out where most of their problems originate.

I have an eating disorder

Well, DUmmy Aerows is one of the DUmbest lunatics at the DUmp, but there's nothing wrong with her diet.

She's a lezbo.

I wondered if the raccoon got checked for any diseases?

He went to the vet. Told the doc that he had taken a bite of a piece of shit and had begun feeling bad. The doc asked what kind of feces and the raccoon shrugged his shoulders and said, "I think it calls itself Aerows." The doc told him that putting such filthy things in his mouth was a quick way to wake up dead.

Are you sure it was a raccoon that bit you?

Are you attracted to hamster wheels?
