The driver of the pickup probably didn't know it was stolen.

I saw the video.  No way was the kid going to move that lifted Ram.

It used to be that good samaritans were rewarded with positive recognition. Now they are treated as if they were the perpetrators.

The guy in the truck is being regarded as a hero by most people.

Yes he is but I have seen commenters (probably DUmmies saying that he had no right to do that and could have hurt the kids in the stolen vehicle or knocked the stolen vehicle into other kids.  Then I have seen some say they hoped his insurance rates sky rocket.
