If a Democrat had been in the White House when the attack of 9/11 happened?

Would the Republicans have united behind, like the country did with Bush, or would they have made a political issue out of it?

Seriously, would they have blamed the Democratic President for being asleep at the wheel? Would they have said that Democrats could not be trusted with our national defense? Would they have called for impeachment? Or worse still, would they have called for his execution for treason for not protecting our nation against the terrorists he was warned about?

Or would they have done like the Democratic Party did? Unite as one country to fight the terrorists that attacked our country? Would they have given the President a pass, at least for a while? Would they have supported a military response to go after the terrorists? Would they have done nothing if the President had ignored the Geneva Convention and resorted to water-boarding captured enemies?

What do you think? Honestly.

I mean, isn't this exactly what the Democrats, liberals, and primitives did?

6. No doubt about it, 9/11 would not have happened if there had been a Dem in the WH

at the time.

17. I agree.

If Al Gore had been allowed to take the office he won in the 2000 election, the events known as "9/11" would not have taken place. I am 100% convinced of that.

15. If a Democrat had been in the White House when 9/11 happened he would have been

accused of being asleep at the switch and then impeached.

Uh, weren't there Democrats, liberals, and primitives whining about "seven minutes" in some movie?

When Klinton was in the WH and Algore was VP, the first WTC bombing happened. Then they passed on three chances to get UBL.

A democrat in the White House would have been apologizing to muzzies by 9/14.

Complete idiots.

I don't pretend to any special inside info about it, but I know how operational planning cycles work in both conventional and unconventional warfare, and I know how long it takes for asymmetric partisans/terrorists to formulate, set up, and bring a complex covert plan to fruition without it being detected by the power against which it is being directed.  It's a certainty that the pieces of the plot were in motion long before the election, and once initiated, there was no going back.

Osama couldn't have given a rat's ass for the difference between Gore and W.  He would've just seen Gore as a cat's-paw of Clinton, against whom he had plenty of motivation to move after all the Tomahawks the Horn Dog shot at his Afghan camp - and Osama would have likely been correct in that assessment, he always had a much better intelligence appreciation of Clinton's limits of action than Clinton did of Osama's.

Clinton was an incompetent fool in dealing with Osama, but Gore would have made Clinton look like Alexander the Great by comparison.
