Week 3 no analog Cigs. Vapingis working for this smoker of 29 years

I got two brand new batteries, two new tanks and a new charger. Have three different flavors a Cherry Sprite- True menthol- something called swagger more of a licorice flavor. I alternate during the day just to mix it up a little. the strength of the nicotine is 24 and my goal is to drop to 18 next time I have to buy new juice. So far, I have spent almost 60$ and this should last quite a few weeks. Much better than the 70$ a carton of the reg cigs I would by weekly. That first week, I coughed a LOT. WheeZed a LOT but it is getting better. The craving for a real cigarette is not near as strong as thought it would be. I have true expectations that this will be the key to stop smoking. I am excited.

Thank you all for the information and the success stories. I am a believer.

5. I should add

I did it before for about 5 months, then hit a rough patch and thought...why the hell should I quit...so I went back. This time no matter what I am quitting for good...for me!

6. Question for fellow vapers:

how often do you vape? Seems like I take a drag off the thing quite often. I think it is more than if I were smoking. However, if I were smoking, it would take about 5 minutes to finish a cig. When I vape, I take a pull or two then stop til next time.

Is this typical?

As cross-eyed as she is, I'm surprised she can hit her mouth with anything.

$70/carton for cigs?

They sell Marboro Reds at the truckstops here for $48.  It's fun to see some people buy $200-300 worth of cigarettes at a time, then watch which car they get into.  9 out of 10 times, it's from somewhere north of here (usually PA, NY, or NJ)   :lmao:

In 1977-78, before democrat inflation and taxes took full hold, I remember seeing billboards along the highway in North Carolina advertising cigarettes for $2.19 PER CARTON. New Yorkers and Massholes were bootlegging by the trailer load because prices up there were $5-6.

I just said "I want a baby and I need to stop".  I stopped that Monday cold turkey.    :-)

Technically sucking on those vapor things you still are a smoker. You just replaced one object being sucked on with another.

Well, I wish the DUmmie luck. I'm trying to get a buddy of mine to quit. He had a "mild" heart attack, got the balloon angioplasty (1 artery) and STILL smokes.   :thatsright:

Such crass and vulgar behavior! You all owe Gina a sincere apology.

You can do that after she gets done sucking.

It wasn't easy for me at all. My step father is one of those people who can decide he wants to quit and just do it with no side effects. He hasn't smoked for decades.

Pam's motto on the junior prison staff list: "I live to teach..."

That's how she gets money to "by" things.
