These mass stabbings have got to stop. Congress needs to do something about these semi automatic assault knives.

Multiple police sources have told the Herald the man arrested in a quintuple slaying in Brentwood is the son of a senior Calgary police officer.

Police said they received reports of a stabbing around 1:20 a.m. in the 100 block of Butler Crescent N.W. Officers arrived to find three people dead. Two more were taken to hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.

The victims include four men and a woman, reportedly all in their late teens or early 20s.

...and and international convention on possession and international trade in knives, perhaps a requirement that every nation have a registry of its authorized knife owners, with a requirement for periodic unannounced police inspections to ensure they are being maintained safely...
