New Captain America opens. Prepare for RW heads to explode.
This is going down the road of The Patriot Act is bad. Mark my words. And the RW ain't going to like it. Make some popcorn and get ready for the show (the movie AND the backlash). What will make it especially fun is that they are going to have to criticize the Captain Frickin' America. The cognitive dissonance will be delicious.

You know, for people who never watch TV or fall in for any popular culture, you DUmmies sure do know a lot about what's on TV and in the movies. They do have their movie group, which is hosted by Loconuts, so they have the potential for some really great critiques.

27. "Captain America: ..." Is About Obama's Terror-Suspect Kill List, Say the Film's Directors
There are currently no plans to screen Captain America: The Winter Soldier at the White House, as far as the film's directors have heard. But if it makes it to the White House family theater, President Obama would be watching one big-budget, action-packed, and Scarlett Johansson-starring critique of his controversial terror-suspect "kill list."
This isn't me reading things into a mainstream comic-book movie. It's what the directors themselves will tell you.
" said they wanted to make a political thriller," Joe Russo, who directed the film with his brother Anthony, tells Mother Jones. "So we said if you want to make a political thriller, all the great political thrillers have very current issues in them that reflect the anxiety of the audience...That gives it an immediacy, it makes it relevant. So and I just looked at the issues that were causing anxiety for us, because we read a lot and are politically inclined. And a lot of that stuff had to do with civil liberties issues, drone strikes, the president's kill list, preemptive technology"—all themes they worked into the film, working closely with screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

And Ace and Gary.

I went and looked - sure enough, the 'indisputable' Mother Jones article killed the thread :rofl:Nope, it's still there. Try the link in side the quote that Carl provided.
The FOX movie critic loved it, gave it 4.5 stars. Thinks it's the best Marvel movie so far. Lots of violence, don't take the kids even though it has a PG-13 rating.

26. As far as superheros are concerned, Captain America is pretty crappy.

Super strength and an adamantium shield?
Yawn.
Sorry about that, I wasn't clear. I meant 'killed' as in 'no further replies' - not deleted.Ahha. I wish the comments would have stayed up.
I haven’t read a Captain America comic in years so I don’t know about the current incarnation of the comic book version, but based on the version that was in the comics when I was a kid and young adult only a DUmmie could view Captain America (a proud America who stands for truth and liberty) as pretty crappy.
The only hero who I would think is even less “crappy†than Captain America is Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell) who came to earth as a democrat and then became a republican.
And unless things have changed Captain America's shield is made of vibranium.

I've seen far more evidence of DUmmie and lefty head sploding than RW heads,
Just peruse any page on DU, and some DUmmy's head will splode right there in front of you.
And in their own words too!
Bring up something they disagree with...and its all, BOOM baby! BOOM!
I think it is funny they paint the sane people with their own colors,
Adamantium-vibranium composite in the older Marvel comics. :bawl: So sad that I know that...

Your move, morons.
Wait until they find out Aquaman is gay.
He's also something I can't say because it'll spoil the plot for you but matches what the DUmbasses want to happen here in America.
And to any DUmbasses that might be lurking.....I saw Captain America Winter Soldier and my head did not explode. It might be because I know this is a movie and not real....much like every one of your conversion stories.
And I just can't wait to see how the Dumbasses try to compare TEA partiers and conservatives to the President and those who send Sentinels after muantkind in the new movie X-Men - Days of Future Past.
I had my suspections about that guy, always seem a little "fluky", on "porpoise", no doubt.
Known to frequent a lot of dives, sand bars, and Shell stations.
A little "light in the flippers", if you know what I mean. :naughty:
DUmmies don't think things through.
Individuals engaging in heroic actions without government authorization or approval is completely contrary to DUmmy beliefs, because if government didn't do it but an individual did it undermines collectivist ideology. Undermines the stealthily fostered fog of powerlessness their elected officials have gone to such great lengths to inflict on their own constituents.
And an individual named "Captain America" doing something right, proper, principled or ethical?
Well, they just can't have that, and have to point fingers at others.
Massive projection is what it is.
"Captain America", even as a fictitious character, is the antithesis of the statist liberal.

I haven't look at AM the same since Raj asked how he poops.
They tried to 'fix' AM's image years ago - but there is just no getting away from this.(http://www.cartoonscrapbook.com/01pics/aquaman01.jpg)
^I wouldn't be surprised if Hydra has penetrated the current White House.
