David Letterman has announced his plans to retire in 2015.
The late night talk show host delivered the news during a taping of CBS’ “Late Show†on Thursday.
Good riddance. He used to be very entertaining, but has been pretty awful for at least the last 10 years.

Buh bye. Take that lousy band with you.

Never could stand him. Liked Jay Leno a little better.

That bandleader got on my nerves. He was unfunny, and untalented musically. Ed McMahon or Doc Severinsen he wasn't.

Paul Shaffer needs to go back to Canada.

Bingo !

Paul S is very strange and tires too hard to be cool. I used to be a Letterman fan, but haven't watched him since he became so bitter, nasty, had the affair with the young intern, and became more obvious with his libtard leanings. He won't be missed. It would be funny if Leno got the job, a perfect jab at NBC.

The weird thing is the guy who used to run the little fan page on the Letterman CBS website was probably the world's oldest intern, turned Letterman staffer. I don't know why but one day I found the site and wrote in about something, can't remember, it's been so long. The guy had been a NYC cop who decided he wanted to get into show biz, one way or the other.
Not sure if I still have the file, but he put my name and comments on many of the daily little discussions about the show.He even put my name in the blog when one of the St Louis pro teams won, either the Rams when they won the SuperBowl or the Cards. He was a nice guy and once in a while would send an email. He told me he was a big Rush Limbaugh fan. Go figure. I'll bet he had a tough time around there, surprised that he told me how much he admired Rush.
