Herds of bison running for their lives on the public roadways and they were not being chased or rounded up, the bison were running down the mountain slopes onto roadways running right past a filming crew. They detect something vast and deadly. The Yellowstone Supervolcano is the only thing there that would fit the bill.”

Researchers recently discovered that the supervolcano is far bigger than previously thought, about 2.5 times.

“We’ve been working there for a long time, and we’ve always thought it would be bigger… but this finding is astounding,” said Bob Smith of the University of Utah.

The last major eruption is thought to have happened around 640,000 years ago and sent ash across the entire North America.

I thought I read somewhere that it erupted about 10,000 BC and just about wiped out the native Americans(Clovis people) in North America.

Yellowstone may blow.  And, I've heard the hypothesis that it, and the faults in CA/along the west coast, are interdependent.  But...

Bison run.  They just run.  Pretty frequently, for long distances, and for long periods of time.

Or, it could have been wolves, some tree hugger, a dog, a coyote, a sage grouse that got flushed offering a good excuse to run.  They've been running since they had legs.

Yellowstone blows followed a New Madrid quake and the Mississippi splits the country in half.

Oklahoma has had dozens of quakes lately. Not that they have anything to do with Yellowstone or the Mississippi.

Why are Tennessee and North Carolina shown as one state?

Frankly, the world.  The best case scenario will be Mad Max.  No food will grow so soon we will all not have any new food. After the Preppers stores empty that will be it for Humankind.

Didn't we have a member that was somewhat obsessed about the caldera ? It was in the science forum as I recall.

It's in "another" board now. Danged if I can remember which one, though...

I thought I read somewhere that it erupted about 10,000 BC and just about wiped out the native Americans(Clovis people) in North America.

Something big happened then, and put the hurt on the Clovis culture big time causing widespread devastating drought in North America in particular, but they don't think that was Yellowstone.  Opinions vary about what it really was.

Liberal schooling.....it's a wonder they don't show all the southern states as one state.

Obama borrowed the state line to cast down in the sand somewhere?

If you saw the video of those bison, they all stayed in their lane . . . except for one near the end, which did get back into the lane.

It happened before and it will happen again and no amount of socialism can prevent it.  The good news is that there will be human survivors and they will be tough resourcefull conservatives.  And, after a few generations the dormant progressive gene will rear its ugly head and the whining will start again.

Yeah, like animals have NEVER migrated before...

Krakatoa went up some time ago, threw so much ash into the sky that there were a few years of no summer around the world.   Interesting as New England had people putting in their diary's that
the sky's were dark and gray and food was scarce.

Buffalo by the millions migrated all over the plains at one time, today they have no need for some reason. For them to out of the blue begin to run is either instinct to set in or some other reason.

Will we have to face a big blow up at Yellow Stone ?   May be, possible and there is not one thing we can do about it.  No place to run, no place to hide, just part of mother earth and her evolution.

I watch the birds on the sea coast, when the Gulls come inland there will be a storm at sea.  Crows are a good source of information, when they are quiet something is going on. Interesting birds much different from other birds they have a society not unlike our own.

Whatever it takes to keep their wee minds undisturbed by the crushing reality of what utter and complete wastes of oxygen they are.

Hey Vesta here's a big blow up for ya:

Now a talking crow.  That's something to have.   But when they are in corn field they are best introduced to a shotgun.  (Although shooting them on the wing with a .22 is good sport).

I saw something on The Blaze (I think that's where it was) that said that the story on this left out one very important piece of information--when that video of the bison running down the road was shot, the car that the video was shot from was on its' way out of the park.  This would indicate that the herd of bison was running into Yellowstone, not away from Yellowstone.

A minor, but very important, detail.

Those are all female buffalo. They're going back to make sure they turned all the electrical stuff off before leaving.

They probably went to visit their liberal cousins at the stock yards  and couldn't get away fast enough.

Argg, I feed the ---- murder of crows every day, they keep the grubs away from the lawn.

Actually following links I found some sights with documentaries on Yellow Stone and one thing hit me.

No where did the scientists make mention of the volcano's under our seas.  One would think the methane buildup after thousands of years would cause a big problem down the road.

Not much we can do on planet earth when it decides to do what it needs to.  Has to be a reason our home is tilted on it's axes, something had to have caused this, are we the only planet in our system that is cattawhumpus ?

Regardless of all this there is not one damn thing we can do when Mother Earth acts up but to hope you go quick and fast.
