Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has reimbursed his campaign nearly $17,000 paid to his granddaughter for “holiday gifts” in late 2013, after the Federal Election Commission insisted that his campaign clarify why the money was spent.

The FEC sent the treasurer for Friends of Harry Reid a letter insisting that he “must include a brief statement or description … to clarify the following description: ‘holiday gifts.’”

Reid’s campaign operation listed that description on its year-end report for two separate disbursements to Ryan Elisabeth of Berkley, Calif., on Oct. 23 — one for $5,416.93, the other for $11,370.00.

Busted and yes I love it.  :-)

If Republicans had any PR sense, they would exploit this little nugget, especially after all the lies Reid's told from the Senate floor where he can't be touched.

No point. Reid would appear in the snooze and claim "It was an honest mistake and the money has been returned".

The snooze media would then pronounce it "done".

If the press had any integrity they would expose this little nugget for all the world to see.

I guess Harry loves his granddaughter sooooo much that he's willing to steal for her, with that kind of leadership in her life I'm sure she's right on track to becoming another one of those ummm, ?fine?, Liberal women!
