Obama SSSSlams Putin: 'Russia Is A Regional Power'

Obama dismisses Russia as ‘regional power’ acting out of weakness

THE HAGUE — President Obama acknowledged Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s annexation of Crimea would be difficult to reverse, but he dismissed Russia as a “regional power” that did not pose a leading security threat to the United States.

Concluding a summit here on nuclear security, Obama also warned that broader Russian military intervention in neighboring countries would trigger further economic sanctions that would disrupt the global economy but hit Russia the hardest.

1. I'm sure that will help matters.

It would be really nice if we had political leaders who were not completely ignorant of history.

2. The problem with that is.....Obama isn't.

He knows damn well that Putin will get away with whatever he wants until he's *forced* to stop.....that's something that Dubya didn't get even as Georgia was being trampled on(oh, and btw, that country's president was a crook, too).
Baby Barry isn't going to stop Putin.

3. It would be difficult to be more insulting to the Russkies.

The nation that gave the world people like Gagarin, Sakarov, and Solzhenytsin deserves a modicum of respect.

5. It would be easy to be more insulting.

PBO could have called Putin, nekulturny or uncultured.

4. That "regional power" just sent a U.S. astronaut into space today.

Which we are unable to do. So what exactly is our category?

That's the whole thing so far.  Even the DUmmies don't think insulting Putin was a swift move.

My bet is that before 2016 rolls around, the DUmmie narrative will be that they were against Obumbles before they were for him, in an effort to try convincing the electorate that we need another democrat in the White Hut.

He can't run anymore, so they're going to start throwing him under the bus to make room for the next ordained high priest of the DUmmies.

That ABC reporter, Jonathan Karl, is sure gonna be on Valerie Jarrett's hit list.

At the Hague today, he asked Obama during a packed news conference;

"In China, in Syria, in Egypt and now in Russia, we've seen you make strong statements issuing warnings that have been ignored....are you concerned that America's influence in the world, your influence in the world, is on the decline?".....then he went on with the bit about Mitt Romney.

How long until the White House threatens the reporter?

An IRS audit would be too obvious, but there will be repercussions.

I'm sure he'll be getting an audit notice from IRS shortly.  No connection, of course.

 :whatever:
