My turn to get on my high horse about ACA
One group of people that have been ravaged before ACA went into effect were people living with HIV/AIDS.
No one forced the ballgag in your mouth, homo.
fewer than one in five (17%) of people living with HIV has private insurance and nearly 30% do not have any coverage at all.
Sorry, dude. HIV comes with a feather boa, not an insurance policy.
Many people in this category that are still able to work could not get health insurance because of a pre-existing condition, nor could they get medicaid because their income. So whats the big deal? they can get Ryan White right? Guess again! Before ACA went into effect in the State of Florida alone there were over 3,000 people waiting to get on the Ryan White program. Those are the cold hard facts & reality before ACA.
Myself, my meds for HIV/AIDS cost approximately $27,000.00 dollars a year, so unless you are making one hell of a good annual salary, these life saving meds are out of reach (I was one of the few lucky one's that had private insurance before I was diagnosed). But low & behold I had a lifetime cap on my insurance before ACA and I have been on these meds since 2005 thats not counting the times I spent in the hospital with them saving my life because of AIDS (you do the math). Yes I was getting close to reaching my cap within the next two years.
Hey, how'd you GET that disease in the first place?
Yes ACA is not perfect, and yes there can be improvements to it. But the bottom line is this, it's helping a hell of a lot more people than it's hurting.
So in closing I would like to say this, THANK YOU PRESIDENT OBAMA for taking a stand to give the American people what we so desperately needed. And to those that constantly rake Pesident Obama over the coals for doing the right & just thing, a big **** YOU!

It's totally ridiculous.
The guy has AIDS, which is a, uh, serious matter, and as far as I know, it's terminal.
And he spends all of his time fretting about "gay" "issues" instead of dwelling on things that are truly important.
Usually I have a great deal of sympathy for those who are terminal, no matter who they are and what they're like.
But not for idiots who don't take their condition, and the likely consequences, seriously.
The guy's a joke.

By this I assume you mean he's one of those gay dudes who wears his AIDS like a badge of honor, something that confers prestige and honor. Something that bestows upon him so much moral authority that it was well worth getting the death sentence in the first place.

For the most part, the issue I've found with most homosexuals is that "being gay" isn't their core problem.
Being an attention whore seems to be the first and biggest core problem for most homosexuals I've encountered. Homosexuality is merely a means to an end for them.

This reminds me of some time during the early 1990s, when I had a television with a special device to help me "hear" it (no, not that damned closed captioning). I didn't use it much, maybe about a couple of hours or so a month, and ultimately discarded it.
I was playing "Strategic Conquest" on a Macintosh, and decided to see what was up, on the boob tube.
I had it on public television, and there was a special show about gays who'd lost their "partners" to AIDS.
Initially, I didn't pay much attention, but as the show went on and on, all these sad-faced guys yip-yapping to the camera, I suddenly started paying more attention, and was completely engrossed by the time the show ended.
All they talked about was the inconvenience of living without someone sexually valuable to them.
Nothing else.

Local guy here has been dying of AIDS for 25+ years. He has been sucking every government tit there is for all that time. Maybe that's why Obamacare has death panels?

Yes, but where are they drawing more "enjoyment": from getting reamed out, or from being "here and queer, and in your face"? I contend that it's the latter, because their core problem is that they're attention whores.

My problem with AIDS are the innocent that get if from husbands that are bisexual they are unaware of and young girls raped by the carriers.
Baby's born with the disease to mothers who have no idea they are infected.
Then there are the courts that have a problem with both men and woman that know they carry the disease but continue to spread the disease to the innocent. Is this not a case of attempted murder ?
Question here should not the carriers of Aids be treated the same as someone with Typhoid or infections Tuberculous ???

Such people are hazard to the general public health, which is why it's public.
No, their names aren't published in the newspapers or anything, but if one has a good reason to inquire, and inquires of the department of health, one's told.
But individuals with AIDS, another dread contagious disease, don't have to self-report or their physician treating them doesn't have to report them.

I do remember the old days when people wanting to get married needed a blood test to insure they did not have Syphilis.
Then just a couple of years ago some traveler with TB the spreadable kind was arrested when they landed in the USA and forced to go to a treatment center. This disease was spread by mouth and the traveler knew darn well they needed a face mask to prevent others in their area from becoming ill.
No civil rights for this guy, off to a place where they could not have visitors and the staff wore haze mat suits.
Interesting story, reminded me of the saga of Typhoid Mary who was finally imprisoned for life in NYC.
Some small town in Maine had an outbreak of disease that only when reported to the CDC lead to a school closing for disinfectants and cleaning, finally traced to one family in town with a relative who had visited family somewhere in Africa.
Disease is not some thing uncommon on us that live in the sea ports. We up here have places where the victims of Cholera arriving into port were buried in mass graves.
South West when the plague hit the vermin and anthrax spread. All buried for 100 years but the influx of humans and need for homes dug up the long dormant diseases and just ask the medical teams on the Indian Reservations.
Disease mutates from year to year, each year we need a new inproved flu shot.
We need a new shot every couple years against the mutatated virus. What was a protection 3 years ago will not work today.
We have a new virus jumping up every day, Kids on the West coast are now facing a Polio like disease.
A never ending battle against our worse enemy, that that can not be seen with the naked eye and those that with tecnology see and identify it.
For those that are into the Gay life style, they are akin to to the people with an allergy for peanuts. They may want and yearn for peanut butter but realise this will kill them. For those that know they can pass this allergery on to others, to do so is with no thought is a sick twisted induvidual.
