Re- Obamacare (Rant)
Could we please have some understanding/acknowledgement (in the media and elsewhere) that much of the frustration people may have felt in dealing with healthcare.gov has nothing to do with the website or Obamacare and everything to do with the complexity of health insurance as evolved in the U.S.?
I bought Obamacare via the website in late Nov., 2013, and the website was working well at that point. (And it gave me better insurance for less money than I'd been able to get before.)
But separate deductibles for services vs. prescriptions, co-insurance, maximum out-of-pockets – I, and I suspect most of us, had avoided having to understand any of it before, because we either couldn't afford insurance at all, or we just took whatever our employers offered. For me personally, learning about all of that was the hardest part.
And the only reason for most of that complexity is to trick us into paying as much as possible for as little coverage as possible.
I totally understand a concern to include features that discourage hypochondriacs from incurring unnecessary medical expenses that cost us all more. Solution: design a co-pay indexed to personal income/wealth. Let the Kochs pay a billion to remove a suspicious mole.
The point is: single payer.

1. You have to understand
Obamacare had to be ****ed up to become law.
We have a tremendous number of people in this country whose livelihood depends on ****ing over other Americans.
Uh huh.
And they're called "Democrats."

Dear DUmbass, the problem you have is not in understanding insurance it is having no understanding of basic economics and realizing money does not grow on trees.
Those of us who do have been telling you for 5 years what would happen but it was easier for you to believe in a fairy tale then to listen.

Now, they hate Obamacare? What? :???: :wtf2: :mental:

I seem to notice that more DUmmies are angry about Obamacare. Could this be some trend?

The important thing was to screw the White Power Structure. The left supports taxes they won't have to pay to "help" people they disdain. Unless it is minor (like sales, power and gasoline taxes which are the most regressive of all) tax, they are there. When THEY take the direct hit to support their beloved (read: hated) downtrodden, WHOA NELLIE, this wasn't supposed to happen to ME! (typical liberal OTP reaction).
That is why obozocare was thousands of pages long: They were trying to say "screw the White Power Structure" but not say it at the same time.
I am not happy about my huge rise of my health care premiums. But I can take the hit and will consider the rest a Schadenfreude (not our beloved one) Entertainment tax. The more they suffer, the larger my guffaws.
And, after all the hell they provided, that is up to and including people being kicked out of their homes and living in cars and people dying from diseases that were covered under the previously EEEEVIL system and now bypassed by obozocare.
obozocare is hurting MILLIONS -- let all who created it (obozo voters, whether kneepad-wearing or passively stupid) suffer as deep and hard as humanly possible.

Wonder how Peggy Joseph and those like her are managing these days.

And they want to campaign on this so-called landmark achievement.

Evidently, you've never tried shuffling through the Medicare maze for your grandmother. If 0bamacare isn't repealed, it will eventually become just as ****ed.

Ever been to Vermont? (http://townhall.com/tipsheet/christinerousselle/2014/03/18/vermont-democrats-labeling-states-singlepayer-health-plan-a-failure-n1810856) :whistling:

Naturally, the DUmbass is not just a little mistaken but is standing at the opposite side of truth.
An insurance company,in order to survive, has to do its best to mitigate those that want to pay $50.00/month premiums while consuming $2000.00/month in services and commodities.
Of course the DUmbass expects someone else to pick up the tab for the difference or just simply believes it magically appears. :banghead:

All these clowns clamoring for single-payer should do themselves a favor and talk to some of the veterans who's sole medical care is the VA. I have a friend who was in the Air Force and has rheumatoid arthritis in both knees. He's in constant pain, looks terrible, and has lost 40 pounds that he didn't need to lose.

I could say the same thing, but for one problem, it's still SHIT.
My old plan:
$6000 deductible per person, $12,500 out of pocket 80% coverage after that. No prescription plan.
New "silver" plan:
$3500 deductible per person, $9500 out of pocket then 80% coverage. No prescription plan. Most of my prescrips are less/free, which is good, but many of my wife's are not, at all.
My savings are about $100 a month except for my wife's prescriptions, which went up 100%.
WE STILL CANNOT AFFORD THE DEDUCTIBLE., but I could still say I "saved". :thatsright:

My Obamacare plan...buy a cheap throw away pistol and use it when needed.
Hey, it beats the democrat end of life healthcare plan.
I'm joking...I'm joking....I'm joking.....did I mention, I'm joking? :-)

I don't think citizens of Vermont need panic yet.
Once the Governor states that the income from taxed pot is to be split, 25% for the schools
and 75% for medical care of the poor--------BINGO------New state plant on license plates.

I have my healthcare through my employer, but I checked out the website to see what I would pay. For a plan almost equal to the one I currently have, my premium would have tripled.

I checked to compare my current employer provided insurance to their plans. Total for premiums and out of pocket would be more than double what I pay combined with what the company currently pays. Obamacare is a scam.

Boy howdy you nailed it there. Been there, done that on a few occasions, with both set of parents ( the Mrs. is one knowledgeable gal on all things insurance and medical BTW). Easy it ain't, frustrating it is, I mean, screaming, head pounding headache, frustrating stuff.

JR, Dude, add the fast car and ski mask option. Should be able to cover almost all medical and living expenses. :lmao:
Someone else will still be paying for all your coverage even if you get caught, then the free sex rider will kick in. :rotf:
