Guilt-ridden Petit family killer sent suicide note to newspaper claiming he was being tormented by prison staff before attempting to overdose on medication in his cell

Steven Hayes, one of two convicts sentenced to death for the 2007 Connecticut home invasion of the Petit family, sent a local newspaper a suicide note before his failed suicide attempt this week, it has emerged.
Hayes was found unresponsive in his cell at the Northern Correctional Institution in Somers on Monday morning after he apparently saved up prescribed medication and took it all at once.
He was discovered by a guard during a routine check and officials said that he was continuing to recover at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington on Wednesday.
Another one bites the dust. Perhaps, Steven Hayes should of committed suicide before the crime.

All that needs to be said on this subject:
:sosad: :sosad: :sosad:
I'll add this: It's really too bad that this POS can't be impaled, a la Vlad Tepes-style, as his death penalty.

Unfortunately this one is still with us as he failed to complete taking the cowards way out.

I appreciate that that prison guards are conscientious, hard-working stiffs who are just doin' their job.
But to have walked away from this scum-sucking pukebag, thinking he was merely asleep, would have done the prison system and the world one helluva lot of good. :whatever:
