I am setting here in the Library and am next to a young man from Egypt!
He is with a person helping him with math, he is trying to get his GED and get ready for the Citizenship Test. He is under 18 and is working at getting his feet here in America. He has no one; he talks of losing his family.
He is going full throttle for the American Dream. He is doing lawn work to help get his Dream started. He has a long road to hoe, but he is trying to find his way. He seems to have help in with this endeavor, and he will need it.
Hearing him talk to the lady helping him brings a thrill to my heart. People are still out there living the first three rights of the United States of America: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness!
How do you say "I gotta quit hanging out at the library" in Arabic? (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10024640587)
Leave him alone, Amber. He doesn't need to be pestered by a leech like yourself, especially since you're going to need the addition to the tax base.
And of course:

6. I hope you set him straight and told him the truth: the American Dream no longer exists, this
country is headed for imminent collapse, he will experience nothing but crushing racism and bigotry, and that corporations will suck out his can-do spirit, chew him up and leave him for dead.
Which makes one wonder, how do you say, "Shut up, you worthless Cheeto-sucking loser DUmmie faggot" in Arabic?

I know the American Dream exists, because Amber told us right before she got her new tax-payer paid for apartment with furniture that she is living it.

Dear DUmmie CSP,
I hope you never find the American dream, you don't deserve it, you wouldn't know it if it bit you in the ass.
You're a complete loser, too f'n stupid to breathe without constant reminders, you have your head so far up your own ass you have to open your mouth to fart.
The American Dream still exists, REAL Americans will not let it die, in spite of the likes of you and your Present Barry Bigears.
Now, ESAD, DUmbass!

Do the Dummies realize that hardwork is involved in achieving the American Dream?

There's a 10% chance he's a Coptic Christian. Since he says he lost his family, maybe the percentage is higher. In which case I say, "Welcome to America. At the moment it is still safe to be a Christian, enjoy your religious freedom while it last and good luck."

You just have to man up and work for it.

The ironic thing is that the liberal handwringing over that commercial is more than sufficient to power an ELR for every registered driver in the US for an entire year.

Yes, that's why they will never achieve it, and constantly whine and bitch about it when Daddy Barry won't give it to them.

The Tucson Tart left a clue in the Mystery of the Missing Laptop:

I am setting here in the Library
Conclusions:
1. Amber can't tell the difference between "sitting" and "setting"
1. The laptop is MIA
2. No WiFi at the Tucson Taj Mahal
3. Amber has the day off from smuggling cocaine for Chief Running Drugs, or getting vibration therapy over at the veterinary college.

Only a DUmmie would hoe a road. :lmao:

DUmmies talking about being road hoes.
Sounds about right. BTW, for a person with a "Communications" degree, how many ****ing idioms can she shove into one paragraph?
Damn that hurt!
-
long road to hoe
"Road to hoe" is like "tow the line".
Don't the illiterates who make these mistakes have any curiosity about the origin of the saying?
Even the briefest of thoughts by the weakest of minds would reveal that they don't make any sense.

Jeez, and they say they aren't of the "victim" mentality. :mental:

And this:
He is under 18 and is working at getting his feet here in America.
I certainly hope he earns them soon!
If he's one of those poor Copts that've been treated like shit by the muslims from the very beginning, I wish him well. My first husband was in that situation. And he achieved the American Dream.
As for Common Sense Party: What a piece of shit you are. You'd really say that to a person? Miserable, loathsome turd.

10. Good, I'm glad the right ones have been speaking to you.
I can't tell you how many comments and threads I've read that basically convey nothing but the defeatist attitude I jokingly espoused above.
We live in a wonderful country and we can all do our part to make it even better.

If he can go thru the proper channels to become a "citisen" why can't the millions of the mexicans who are here illegally do the same?

DLR, perhaps you have no idea of just how difficult and expensive it is to become a citizen for the people that want to become a citizen.
There are hoops and red tape that can last for years, big time bucks spent in some cases.
Like all businesses, there are the crooks and nasty's that pray on the poor and the middle class who wish to bring their family to America.
Any serviceman that married a woman over seas, brings them home and wants them to become a citizen faces a couple of years of paper work and filing fees. The Lawyers charge $400-$600 to file each and every paper.
Then the immigrants ---------I know of one, a man with money that sponsors the kids from his country and when all is said and done the kids are little more then slaves to him.
He DEMANDS 60% of their pay to repay him, and if one becomes unable to work, he has them deported back from where they come from.
This is much like the Company Store in the past, they give one a home, and food but all is deducted from their pay check and are at risk of being fired at any time.
I found out that the immigrants that had to wait years to become citizens and had to pay thousands to become so are not happy with the illegals that pay no taxes or have to go through what they had to do.
Take Nads a non American born female married to a man on a nuclear Submarine, I cannot imagine the security clearance she had to go through.

It surprises me the number of naturalized citizens that have had have to pay thousands of dollars to become Americans. Then we have the people that are brought here as refugees that are another class of people.
Very many classes of people, some are here legally but cannot get citizenship for any number of reasons.
A case in Oregan comes to mind.
All is not black and white with that she and her girls were to be deported to her home land and her girls would be at 12 and 14 by traditional under go female genital alteration..
Fortunately we of the civilized country demanded the woman and children stay here.
Are we a bad country to demand the people fleeing from their own birth place to come here and o bay our laws, are we wicked to expect strangers to come here and respect us and the land we give them freedom ???
They come here to escape their lives in other country's, where is the respect for the country that welcomes them in and gives them a chance to thrive ?

It's only hard if you come here legally, like my cousin-in-law. He's from Mexico, too, he just decided not to commit a crime on his way through the door. And it should be hard! Most countries on the planet have extremely strict immigration laws. Ours seem too lax by comparison, yet we get bitched at by everyone on the planet about not letting illegals get instant citizenship because they managed to make it over a wall and then not giving them every handout the left can come up with.
And, if a family member (son, daughter, husband, wife, etc.) joining the military needs any kind of security clearance, the family practically gets an anal probe. Probably why Bradly Manning was so successful, he enjoyed it. When we went through it, we had to provide information clear back to preschool. Living in America is a privilege (well, under 0bama, not so much) and if you're not willing to "jump through hoops" (i.e. meet all the requirements) then you don't deserve to be here.

I would think when DLR Pyro said

he was talking about the illegal, undocumented persons who are ubiquitous in these United States. I agree with him.
As to the expense and/or difficulty involved in becoming a citizen, perhaps it could be said that something worth having is worth an effort.
But the big question is, if you have knowledge of someone who is involved in human trafficking or extortion, do you not see the need to report this in order to make it stop?
