So, I went for it - Reese's dipped strawberries.
I grow a few strawberries at home. Last night, looking for something sweet I picked what I had. Realizing the movie was two hours long I figured I'd do it up right.
Funky, but worked out well:
Melt slowly - either on stove top or in microwave -
12 Reese's chocolate & peanut butter cups.
1/4 cup half & half.
Blend well.
Reheat and re blend as necessary, till creamy. Pour into a wide coffee cup.
Rinse fresh strawberries.
Dip & eat as necessary.
You know, we always joke about the primitives and their alleged liking for Fritos and somesuch.
But I've always suspected the primitive diet is rather bigger in sugars and sweets, than in junk food.
I suspect primitive teeth tend to be in deplorable condition.

1. i'm totally unsure about this
but i am not a huge fan of peanut butter. i do like a reese's PB cup from time to time (once a year or so). i love strawberries dipped in chocolate. i just don't know about the peanut butter/chocolate/strawberry combo... (i bet my kids would love it.)
I dunno. Cherries and chocolate makes sense, but I'm dubious about strawberries and chocolate.

Strawberries dipped in chocolate are DIVINE, Frank. You really should try it sometime! Not sure about the Reeses thing though....

Different sort of sweet tooth, madam.
Cherries and chocolate go together like strawberries and cream, but I like just plain raw strawberries.

Unless the strawberry is very, very sweet, it's better by itself, as Frank says. However, if you luck into one of those extremely sweet ones, it's as good with chocolate as Flame says.

I am with you on this one, Coach. Strawberries, even when at maximum sweetness, have a sour "back-taste" that clashes with chocolate. Oranges and Cherries work better with chocolate.
Strawberries dipped with chocolate just LOOK good.

I usually agree. However, I once got a few chocolate covered strawberries from a candy shop in Tulsa that had no sour back-taste. They were divine, absolutely.

That just sounds wrong. Chocolate and strawberries, well that's okay, though I prefer one or the other. But chocolate, peanut butter & strawberries is just messed up. :mental:
