Oh my.

Dear old sweet Lu fell down on the job again, meaning a drone had to do her work.

not a clue here, it's going to be another late night at work and i'll deal with it when i get home.

happy almost weekend!*

*the fizzy one really means "happy birthday franksolich," but she can't say that on Skins's island.

<<<appreciates the unspoken sentiments, though.

3. Stuffed bell peppers with mashed potatoes.

My local butcher makes an excellent meat loaf mix which I'll be using. I modify and extend it a bit by adding chopped onions, a dash of Worcestershire sauce, some catsup/sri-racha mix, an egg and panko.... before stuffing it into the peppers.

5. Meatball sub

Just got back from the only shop within 30 miles to have sharp provolone cheese, which will be quite yummy [sic!] on the sub. Gotta love leftover meatballs and sauce!

I was going to have a salad on the side, but decided that would be today's lunch instead.

8. All leftover medley -

Smoked sausage and roasted potatoes from earlier dishes, browned in butter. Greek salad, re-tossed with some more tomato. Hummus.

They're always ready to Google fancy meals to make it seem like they won't be standing over a piece of bologna frying in a pan while holding a piece of American cheese to put on top.

Does that not sound like a wad of dried-out nastiness to challenge the hardiest of teeth? "Cornmeal scones? Why, that sounds delightful! I'll make up a batch of HARDTACK and a pitcher of lukewarm water, and we'll go out and eat under the stars!"

9. Well when I realized that I would have to steam the tamales for an hour

I bagged that idea. It's too hot and we had guests.

So I used the chicken to make smothered burritos and the smother was my green salsa.

Came out great and I have two left over for tonight.

We have moved to an isolated area where it is difficult, but not impossible, to access the land. I'm pretty sure I have everything I need for about a week, but we shall see!

after which the cbayer primitive waves to franksolich

10. I have a cold

So I am lobbying for my S/O, since he is planning to go out anyway, to bring me in some hot and sour soup from the Chinese takeout.

Good grief, fisslegig. Go boil a stupid hotdog or something.

On second thought, don't.  You're so stupid, you'd scorch the water.

I keep checking that thread to see if anyone is having a hamburger pressed down hard on the grill so as to squeeze out every drop of grease, french fries made on the grill, not in the fryer, and a bowl heaped with sour cream, but I'm coming up empty handed so far.

True. That's why she's coach's candidate for boss of the cooking group.

That's because the cooking and baking primitives wouldn't know good food if it were shoved down their yaps.
