let's make capitalism a dirty word
http://www.nationofchange.org/lets-make-capitalism-dirty-word-1394115317

Immediately upon entering adulthood, Americans are forced to compete for increasingly-scarce employment. The purpose of most employment isn't to create value for society or future generations, but to create profits for a scant few executives and shareholders. In order to be competitive enough to gain employment, Americans are expected to take on so much debt for a higher education that most of the income gained in their adult years will be spent paying off that debt.

In return for all their hard work, Americans who aren't executives or shareholders are paid just enough to meet basic needs like food, clothing, and shelter. Under the capitalist system, the majority of life for today's average American before retirement is spent pursuing profits that will never be shared with them. And because capitalists like Pete Peterson and the Koch Brothers are so determined to weaken Social Security in the pursuit of ever-increasing profits, even retirement is unstable.

As a system predicated on the need to grow endlessly and never stagnate, capitalism is doomed to fail. I've written previously on this site about how capitalism is currently in its endgame, similar to the endgame of Monopoly, where one player has accumulated nearly all of the property and money, and all the other players are afraid to make any moves at all, lest they land on the wrong square and are destroyed by debt.

Capitalism is succeeding exactly like it's supposed to – all the resources and wealth are concentrating into fewer and fewer hands and corporate profits are hitting record highs every quarter. The Dow Jones and S&P 500 are doing better than they've ever done in decades. Worker productivity and Gross Domestic Product has increased at a rapid pace, yet wages are stagnant.

This, from a site that cheers on the wealth acquisition of liberals worldwide. Soros, Gore, et al...all holy. Yet capitalism is a bad thing.  (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10024617178)

7. Well, the computer you're typing on...

the router, the network you're using...

Your car, microwave, most of the things that make up whatever you're living in...

Where would they be?

Capitalism does have its uses, and the abuses are nowhere close to what the were in the first half of the 20th century. The reforms of the late 19th helped, but the Depression was seen by some as the end of capitalism. See how that worked?

And now we have another "end" to the system even without a major crash and Jim Fisk to help things along? I don't think so.

It's not perfect, but it's really the only one around.

9. this is perhaps the ultimate expression of the Stockholm Syndrome....

Wage slaves embracing slavery because they're afraid of the alternatives.

Sorry, Meathead, but ...

Stupid like you should be criminal.

Honestly what a bunch of self absorbed and self centered children.
It can only think of its personal likes and wants and then expect that to be universal for all  with a government providing it all free of charge.

Yet owning a piece of the pie has never been easier, cheaper, or more democratic. The only thing that keeps me from ranting more about these morons is the realization that they're really just projecting their frustrations onto the world, which derive from mental illness and stupidity. It keeps me warm at night, knowing that the vast majority of DUmmies will die penniless and insane.

:whatever: Like communism produces a profit....or anything of value for the worker.

I'll be glad when all the DUmmies are in a communist gulag.....wait a minute....NO.....that will mean we lost the cause to the STUPIDS.

You don't need a high dollar college education to get a job or to get ahead in America. That's the beauty of capitalism vs communism. Under capitalism little guy can hope to through hardwork and good decisions rise to the top. Under communism, to rise to the top, you have to enslave all those under you and kill off all those above you or apposed to you. DUmmies like the thought of killing their way to the top without ever thinking or believing that they will be one of the4 bodies along the road to the communist utopia.

I suggest Venezuela or North Korea instead.  Cuba is too close, we could still get the stench of DUmmy smells wafting our way.

For the DUmmies: too bad, so sad.

But, I got mine!

Every DUmmy operates under the assumption that the Communist ruling class will either (a) be benevolent, provident, pure, and honest, or (b) consist of them and their friends.

Every ****ing dorm-room Communist, like that faggot who writes for Rolling Stone, will tell you that "it's just never really been TRIED, MANNNNNNNNN," but it HAS been tried, and it's a ****ing disaster because communism is nothing more than a way for millions to tithe to a few.
At this point, ****ing moronic shithead DUmmies say, "But wait, MANNNNNNNNNNN, that's all CAPITALISM is!" To which I say, oh really? Go to Venezuela and try to, oh, WIPE YOUR ASS despite the country sitting on huge proven oil reserves.

Go, DUmmies. Go set up you utopian society. Go live in your Drop City. I'm sure you'll do it MUUUUCH better than the assholes who tried it before you and left because Kommissar Moonbeam realized that he can shove people around easier when they all depend on him.

ETA: **** you, lurking DUmmies, you worthless turds.

At least xchrom named himself correctly.

He's missing a few.

let's make capitalism a dirty word

This Dummy will never understand the concept of working hard to better yourself and your quality of life.

This DUmmy ascribes to the belief system of the writer of this article (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/02/26/this-commercial-sums-up-e_n_4859040.html) that slams Cadillac for a kick ass commercial that  encourages people to work for what they want rather than be a slacker and settle for meritocracy.
The commercial in question is this one:

When i first saw it  during coverage of the Olympics, I replayed it a few times to make sure I was interpreting it correctly and basically decided on my own that this commercial was geared for conservatives, not liberals even though it is advertising an electric car.  It have become my favorite commercial.

Increasingly scarce employment...now when did that start again?

I interpret that commercial as a way to assuage conservative men that it's OK to drive an electric vehicle. I'm torn...Cadillacs are fine cars, but they belong to Government Motors. Eh.

Yeah, but you gotta appreciate the fact that the DUmmies were as happy as a transvestite in a pink tutu because the government was basically bailing out unions, and what do they get for all their tax dollars? A commercial that completely rips the socialist ideals of unions & the left. I wouldn't buy one, won't buy anything from Government Motors, but still, I love to see a company stick it to them.

If you've got $70k to spend on a tarted-up Chevrolet Volt, you might as well spend the extra money and get a Tesla.

That's an excellent point. I also like that they're using a lily-white actor who is an avowed CHRISTIAN in real life.

ABC Frets Over Pro-American Cadillac Ad: 'Arrogant' and 'Xenophobic?'
I love to see liberals get all twisted up over Pro-American ideals.
