My wife has been working A LOT of 45 to 55 hour work week and I think she is getting frustrated with me and the whole situation. Granted all this extra money is coming in handy for Brody and his situation BUT I think I need to do something that will make my wife realize I understand all she is doing.
I'm terrible at cleaning the house.
I can't cook to save my life.
Housecleaning is not rocket science, but you must put down the cheetos and step away from the keyboard.
Cooking doesn't have to be rocket science. Get a cooking "how to" book from the library, and cook.

The internet is my cookbook. You can find any recipe you want. Heck, there's websites where you can tell them the ingredients you have on hand and they'll give you a meal using what you have. As for cleaning the house, I really hate cleaning house so I get it done early. How hard is it to dust or run a vacuum back and forth? The most time consuming thing I do is clean the kitchen. My dishwasher died and it's usually just me or me & my husband. Doesn't make any sense to replace it.

Hyperbole much? Not one person here said work is the only thing that matters. Does this guy work at home and make good money? Since he's thankful for everything his wife does it appears he doesn't. He admits he's not good at cooking and cleaning but his wife often works 55 hours a week so who's doing the housecleaning? If he's not doing home chores, someone has to be, which means his wife (who he wants to thank...just not with cooking and cleaning) has to. So, whether or not there is more to life than work, his poor wife can't afford the luxury. Someone has to pay the bills, how would you suggest they do that? I bet she'd like to know so she's not exhausted all the time.
I didn't "work" while my kids were growing up. I homeschooled them but since I was home, it was also my job to keep the house clean, cook, etc. Since this is a partnership why shouldn't my husband (or his wife) expect me to do my part? There were times when he had to work two jobs (which is akin her 55 hours) so I could be home with our boys. Even if he does work, he obviously doesn't work 55 hours so it makes sense that he should do the majority of the household chores. How "good" do you have to be to dust, vac, mop, put dishes in the dishwasher or wash them by hand, wipe counter tops, swish a brush around a toilet, do some laundry, etc. For someone whose so concerned about work not being important, you sure seem to think it's okay for this man's wife to have very little down time.
Now I do work at home. I raise chickens and sell their eggs. It's hard work and I love it, but it won't pay all the bills so my husband still has to work. In my spare time I make jewelry, but that's after I do the days chores. Like his wife, my husband works very hard, he should at least expect a clean home and a good meal when he's here. I can see why you have so many bitch slaps, your argument is ridiculous and doesn't address the issues this guy has.

Is this a joke? Yes, being a contributing member of society is important. And this DUmmy in question is contributing nothing. Wah, can't get a job, wah, can't clean, wah, can't cook. Can't, can't, can't. My mama taught me can't means won't. All excuses and hot air. A friggin trained chimp can clean the house, do the laundry. It doesn't make much to prepare a meal. Show some appreciation for the fact the wife is busting her ass to support the family. Instead of sitting on DU all day whimpering about a cat. Friggin loser.

I'm at a loss as to how this is a response to a post about a lazy ass parasite who, while his 'wife' is out working, is playing on the internet and complaining that he doesn't know how to clean or cook.
Neither of those activities takes an enormous amount of skill, but they both do require getting off the couch.
The parasite could quite easily do an internet search for house cleaning and cooking tips.

Wow. Just wow. I'm suspecting his wife is getting tired of his mooching ass. Yo dummie? Get a freaking job. Don't care if it is being a walmart greeter, get a job. Then help out around the house. Otherwise... if your wife ain't butt freaking ugly you gonna find yourself outdoors with DainBramaged. Even if she is butt ugly there will be some guy that will take her and treat her like a queen. Might just take some time.

And yeah, if I came home after a 12-14 hour day and found the house a shithole to the point I'd have to fend for myself, cook, clean, etc., and the other occupants are all able-bodied adults, you damn right I'd be pissed. Even a 4-hour day. And working at home doesn't change the fact this ****er is a lazy POS, just like you.
