1. Sounds good, I hope they win.

This unionization drive coupled with action for increasing the minimum wage seems to be a two pronged strategy. I think the two actions occurring about the same time is great. Who brought this about? When do we find out about the vote?

Too late.

Election showed that when workers have a choice, they don't go the Detroit route.

Like all those teachers that fled the unions when Governor Scott Walker broke their chains?

I doubt the state legislature's actions influenced the UAW vote at all.  The people down here known who's buttering their bread and don't welcome any middlemen between them and their livelihood.  There are enough UAW plants around here (Peterbilt being the most obvious one).  Who needs contract disputes every five years and trying to live on strike wages while the union goons and the manufacturer try to iron out unreasonable demands made by left-wing unionistas who's only goal is to extort more money from their membership.

Dear lurking DUchebags, name one thing that a union has ever done to help the host organism stay in business.

Just one.

Well, they forced them to move overseas where they could compete and stay in business.....uh....that's not the answer you wanted, is it?
