Hating is bad for your health

I'd been feeling really lousy for a long time, in spite of the fact that I eat healthy foods and exercise daily. My doctor couldn't find anything wrong with me in blood tests and a general physical exam.

I mentioned this to a close friend, who never gives unsolicited advice, and asked him what he thought could be causing it. His answer was immediate. "Hatred," he said. My response was, "Ummm, Hunh?"

He told me that I spend entirely too many evenings watching hours of MSNBC, and entirely too much time on liberal websites. "Most of your conversations," he said, "are about how much you hate Republicans, how infuriating they are, how insane they are, and how we have to find some way to get them out of power forever."

He was absolutely right. My hatred for Republicans was, all too often, my main topic of conversation. And it was eating me up.

I cut way back on my MSNBC viewing, sticking mainly with Rachel, and I changed my online reading habits. That was a month ago. And I'm feeling better with every passing day. For the first time in a couple of years I feel really healthy and energetic.

We Dems have every reason in the world to hate Republicans. And I'm not saying we should start liking them or ignoring them. What I am saying is that we cannot become so obsessed that we end up damaging ourselves.

As many a wise person has said, "Everything in moderation."

1. Don't leave out the rich

Many people get so consumed with their hatred of the rich that they feel like shit and don't accomplish there own goals.
Correction, many, if not all liberals are consumed by their hatred.

Not to punish them but because they have things way to easy and that ease is killing America.

No. It's the leeches that contribute nothing but take everything that have it too easy.

19. There's a big difference between rich and greedy.

I've been one, but not the other.
I'm guessing greedy.

are being consumed by their hatred.

They are constantly being whipped into a frenzy by the right wing echo chamber and my guess is that their hatred of us far outweighs anything we feel about them.

Now that I'm "on the road to recovery" so to speak, (as explained in my OP), I wonder if they'll ever start to see the light. It seems to me that at their current rate, they will totally destroy themselves.

Nope, not a chance. The hatred and bitterness of liberals is self evident. It manifests itself in your very outward appearances.  For proof just look through any picture thread on DU.

Almost every single study done has found out that conservatives and Christians are happier and healthier than liberals. Also smarter.

No DUmbass...the hatred you lunatics ascribe to us is your impotent projections.
How does it feel to be uselessly consumed by your own insanity?

So....Much....Projection.

For my rebuttal.  Name a conservative site where all the members do is complain about about their sicknesses and misfortune? One, just one.

You are a piece if shit and you are what is ruining America.  I am not rich, far from it.  I work hard and know I can get wealthy if I keep up a work ethic and make wise decisions with my money. You on the other hand think you are owed someone else's working rewards. Get a life and take responsibility for your own self before you say stupid shit likeyou did above. You are the reason you aren't wealthy.   :loser: you will be nothing your whole life with your attitude.  You have no entitlement to mine or anyone else's money!! :bird:

Notice how everything economically except for the top 5%  under Obama has gone to shit. Blacks are doing the worst since records have been kept. Hispanics are hurting just a bit behind that.

The greatest trick every played was the devil convincing people he isn't there.

The second greatest trick is the democrats convincing people that they are for the poor and minorities.

This is the left's ideal solution to the "inequity gap" that they snivel and whine so much about.  They don't see the value of bettering themselves to rise to the level of the rich, but want to bring the rich down to their own level of misery so that everyone suffers equally.

That is the core of leftism, shared misery. Instead of striving to make things better for everyone, they focus on bringing down those who are successful.

They're not happy unless they're not happy, and making others unhappy.

41. I cut back on watching MSNBC and liberal reading too.

Too much of it rots my brain.
I watch movies and do other things resembling having a life. And I do feel better.

Good luck!

You can say that again!

I knew a woman a lot of years ago who always voted Democrat. She constantly put down the Republicans. Despite her voting record, she was anti-abortion and anti-ILLEGAL immigration. One day, after she had went off on a rant about Republicans, I finally asked her why she hated Republicans and voted Democrat. Her answer was that the Democrats are for the poor man and the working man and the Republicans are for the rich. After hearing her answer, I asked her to give me some examples. That ended the conversation.

I have a relative that spews that same garbage every time he sees me.  I've found it easier to just not go around him anymore.  Easier to get along that way.

Look at the threads in the Generally Disgusting forum at the DUmp on any given day at any given time.

Fully 80% of them reflect some sort of negativity, hate, jealousy, anger, and bitterness.

Then imagine what reading that junk day after day, week after week, year after year does to you.

I can't spend more than 15 minutes there at a time or I have the urge to rip out my hair.

This is the mindset of the parasitical assholes we're sharing the country with, and this is why it'll ALL come to a bloody head eventually.

Not to punish them but because they get so many handouts, have things way to easy and that ease is killing America.

Interesting how that can be interpreted so differently with just a few changes from a conservative perspective.

Or if stupidity was painful, we'd get the same results, but it would take longer.
