Title: Totally Asinine Question 'But' I Wanna Know
Post by: mrclose on February 05, 2014, 09:00:14 PM
Waiting for one of my favorite shows last night, I was disappointed to see that it was running about nine minutes late. (something ahead of it?)

This led to the question .. How and when does a station get rid of the gap/overrun?

I wanted to stay up and watch for 24 hours to catch em in the act but ..

I've noticed the local cable provider ****ing with the show lineup.  Wasn't there supposed to be a new Fast 'n Loud on Monday?

I got to have my car show fix.

If it's only a few minutes or so, they may do it by cutting some commercials, but that's unlikely since it costs money.  They either drop some of their own show promos or cut the credits short.  Our local station sometimes shortens their news broadcasts.

The best time to do it would be overnight when there are fewer people watching and less money to be lost.

I recently read somewhere they have been using some flim flam to get the high rated shows to carry the high ratings into two time periods.

Weeell, there's always the Top Gear (UK) site . . .

I about cried from laughing at a couple of the clips, two weeks ago.

And I'm the one idiot who wants to try and stay up to catch em in the act!
