Title: DUmmies Discuss Yet Another Dinner
Post by: GOBUCKS on February 03, 2014, 08:03:43 PM
As usual, DUmmy Lucinda, the second-worst forum boss at Skimmer's DUmp (only LocoNuts is worse), as usual posts only "what's for dinner" then disappears, not to be seen again until she asks the same question tomorrow:

4. Homemade minestrone soup

with a crusty bagette. I think I ate my quota of meat this weekend, so I'm going v****e for a while.

Wait! These are the hateful crones of the DUmp cooking group. You don't get away with a just one foreign word:

6. Did you use parmagiano rind in it?
Oh, yeah, parmagiano!

But only the rind.

I'll see your parmigiano, and raise you another foreign cheese:

9. I didn't have any parm on hand, so

I used the rind of pecorino romano.

10. Roasting a chicken, along with vegetables

Even though it's a "fryer." I don't want to cut it up. Too much other work to get back to.

And then I am going to put vegetables with it. I have boiler onions, but I'm going to roast them instead. The usual carrots and celery, too.

I have some beautiful fresh broccoli for a side dish and I intend to try Pinto's trick of the dollop of mayo with curry added to it.
It can take hours to cut up a chicken.

DUmp master chef DUmmy NJCher will never outdo her already-legendary tortellini soup, but I hope she shares more pictures of her creations.

No war here....it truly is what I made for dinner.  Beans or no beans, I tell ya, it sure tasted and looked better than the aforementioned vomit soup.

with a crusty bagette.

A crusty bagette sounds like something the grasswipe primitive would carry her odds-and-ends around in.

I want to make callalily's Vietnamese Pineapple Chicken Soup but I have to go to the market for fish sauce and also mung bean sprouts. Need some shitakes, too.

I haven't tasted it yet--just about to.

This is such an odd soup. Never made anything like it.

So before I really get going on this today, I'm making up a big pot of won ton soup.

I'd like to make those muffins from the muffin thread and some soup. Then get back to painting.

It's so easy to make and I'm still painting, so easy is what I need. I make it with chicken-cilantro wontons from Trader Joe's.

Pineapple chicken soup?   :p  Wish she'd post a pic.  Here's a pic of a pineapple and pork soup from google images.

What are "shitcakes" to which the New Jersey primitive refers?

Since she's a DU liberal, wouldn't Soup Nazi be more appropriate?  :whistling:

Though I try to never figure out what a DUmmie is thinking, in this case she should be referring to a type of mushroom (for cooking).

I'm pretty sure NJCher's pineapple pork soup will look a lot like her puke stew from yesterday.

NJCher could be the Doug Bulna of the kitchen.

New Jersey is fertile ground for nuts.
