‘Not even a smidgen of corruption’: Obama downplays IRS, other scandals
Obama addressed concerns over Benghazi, the launch of HealthCare.gov and the IRS, during the interview Sunday before the Super Bowl. He adamantly rejected the suggestion that the IRS was used for political purposes by singling out Tea Party groups seeking tax exemption.
“That’s not what happened,†he said. Rather, he said, IRS officials were confused about how to implement the law governing those kinds of tax-exempt groups.
“There were some bone-headed decisions,†Obama conceded.
But when asked whether corruption, or mass corruption, was at play, he responded: “Not even mass corruption -- not even a smidgen of corruption.â€
He acknowledged that then-IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman had been to the White House more than 100 times but said he couldn’t recall speaking to him on any of those occasions.

He's such a damn liar.
-
Real nice the interview was on the anniversary of Chris Kyle's death.
-
O'Reilly has drunk the Kool-Aid. He's such a tool. Did he even give a straight answer about Benghazi, Fast and Furious, why he insists on taking a vacation every other month, circumventing Congress, etc?
I thought not.

Amazing how Obama can know there is no corruption or political motivation involved when there has been no actual, formal investigation concluded on any of the incidents mentioned.

It was just a huge coincidence that almost every group that was targeted was Tea Party or conservative.

It was just bone headed decisions, and a confusing tax law. Could happen to anyone don't you know? Now if faux snooze would just shut up, all would be good.

"That's not the tax law I knew."
Also, if you like your tax law, you can keep your tax law.

IRS to Formalize Censorship Against Conservative Groups
Posted by Jim Hoft on Monday, February 3, 2014, 8:16 AM
The IRS Conservative Targeting Scandal involved:
At least 292 conservative groups
At least 5 pro-Israel groups
Constitutional groups
Groups that criticized Obama administration
At least two pro-life groups
An 83 year-old Nazi concentration camp survivor
A 180 year-old Baptist paper
A Texas voting-rights group
A Hollywood conservative group was targeted and harassed
Conservative activists and businesses
At least one conservative Hispanic group
IRS continued to target groups even after the scandal was exposed
The Obama IRS gave preferential treatment to liberal groups during the same period.
And, now the Obama IRS is hoping to institutionalize their discrimination against conservative groups.
IRS Reg-134417-13 will forbid conservative groups from holding voter registration drives, advertising, promoting, and prohibits any kind of political activity including rallies, mailings, teas, and forums.

Proposed IRS regulations are here (http://www.regulations.gov/#!documentDetail;D=IRS-2013-0038-0001) . I Haven't had enough coffee yet to figure it out.

Did a quick scan. First of all, it is a little disingenuous to announce that "IRS to Formalize Censorship Against Conservative Groups."
The proposed rule states they're going after non-profit organizations or organizations seeking that status. That means, as the proposal reads, they're not going specifically after conservatives.
<cough>
Now that I have that hairball out of me (nasty thing, that), I'm wondering how ACORN (or the organization that picked up where ACORN left off) is going to fit into this scheme.
Something tells me that Barry's IRS isn't going to be looking quite as long and as hard at ACORN as they will at certain "other" organizations of a more conservative bent. :whatever:

It's pretty simple, really. Any group that exists to further Progressive causes and provide (Actually, pressure the government to provide) money for the baby-mamas and chilruns is a 'Social welfare group,' and therefore okay, while any group that wants limits on the government doing that is a 'Radical Reich-wing political action committee trying to disguise itself as a public interest group,' and therefore naughty.

‘Not even a smidgen of corruption’:....absolutely true.....there's a shitload of corruption.

He's such a damn liar.
And their enablers.

And unions are not covered by the new rules, so their money is still allowed.
