I know what you’re thinking – just seven? Actually most of Obama’s speech was filled with the same old platitudes and empty rhetoric that bellows out of all politicians, right or left. Here are seven lies he told.
1) Income inequality is the worst it’s ever been!
Obama sayeth, “[T]oday, after four years of economic growth, corporate profits and stock prices have rarely been higher, and those at the top have never done better. But average wages have barely budged. Inequality has deepened. Upward mobility has stalled. The cold, hard fact is that even in the midst of recovery, too many Americans are working more than ever just to get by; let alone to get ahead.â€
There’s all sorts of wrong going on here, but here’s one of the bigger ones – “income inequality†was worse in 2000 and in 2007. But if you adjust the rate for the massive taxation the government does and the redistribution of wealth already underway, income equality is the same as it was in 1987. It’s pretty easy to make the case that the only reason Obama pretends it’s a sudden crime that needs to be addressed right now is that Obamacare is such a disaster that needs to be ignored.

But seriously, if inequality in income is worse than ever, on whose bony shoulders does this rest? For five-plus years, we've been told how "evil" the rich are--and when put to the test, they've (correctly) responded by closing their wallets. Frankly, I don't blame them. No poor man ever signed my paycheck. As for the rest of last night, at what point do we as Americans say, "Enough!"
If we don't make a stand, this country will not be what it once was, and for that, I weep.

I agree with everything you said with one exception you never mentioned impeaching this Marxist. Nothing will move "forward" until this bottom dweller is gone. I agree with the making a stand comment but I don't see the ballot box and the internet rants as being effective....do you ?

If we don't make a stand, this country will not be what it once was, and for that, I weep.
If we don't change the way our kids are indoctrinated we will never turn this around.
As are most things, politics are local. It has to start with us in our own homes and the kind of adults we produce. Work it up the ladder to community, district, city and then state before we can ever affect the Federal.

You can bang the drum all you want about impeachment. Bottom line, ain't happening. Even if he was caught banging a four-year old boy on the South Lawn of the White House with every network covering it, it ain't happening. Even if there were something that the GOP and the spineless "leadership" were to allow a vote on Articles of Impeachment, the Dem majority in the Senate would virtually guarantee acquittal.
Plus, do you REALLY want to hear the words, "President Biden?" Seriously?
No, bier--it's not this bottom dweller that needs to go (he does) but the attitudes of the people who put him and his ilk in power needs to fundamentally change. Maybe if the system does collapse and people are either left to fend for themselves or perish, we'll end up with something stronger in the long haul. I look at the "greatest generation" and how they got the way...you don't think the hardships they endured in the Great Depression had something to do with it?

Yes I agree with that. I just am frustrated with the stupidity of the majority of the idiots that vote and DEFINITELY the Idiots that run for office ( same pool unfortunately ).

Sparky, our Greatest Generation is a myth. The Great Depression was an open door for the Mafia to come in and turn the kids into Rum Running and honest men into crooks.
Prohibition was the start of the corruption of the country and it infected not just the rich that got richer but the poor that got poorer.
It was after the war that the Government spent at that time millions on the VA subsidised college educations and job training. Some of our grandparents and parents were given a step up at that time to opportunity's they would never would have had.
I remember the old ads of the 60's for the Navy, join at 18 and one can retire at only 38.
Double dippers we called these people, those with a retirement check in hand able to go to college or a trade school then get a government job and at 60 retire and have two retirement checks plus a part time job.
I am watching with interest how the repeal of probation in the past and todays movement to make pot legal will effect America. It has been a couple of generations now of the Pot craze, Once it becomes legal and the high up use to getting millions on the illegal drug trade react.
The Black Market will always be some where on earth and cause wars, when a ban on anything comes about, it is human nature to find out why and get involved if it means extra money. When the ban is lifted on an item to generate money we will place a ban on something else.
Unfortunately humans when for any reason are told something is Taboo develop a need for it.

How can you tell The Dear Leaderâ„¢ is lying? His lips are moving. I had to shut it off once HE got to the 'income inequality' part. I don't see HIM or m00chelle giving up any of their wealth and vacations in solidarity with the lowly proles...
