Stockman walks out of State of the Union
Source: The Hill

Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas) said Tuesday night that he left President Obama's State of the Union speech early after "hearing how the president is further abusing his Constitutional powers."

"I could not bear to watch as he continued to cross the clearly-defined boundaries of the Constitutional separation of powers," Stockman said in a press release shortly after Obama's speech ended. "Needless to say, I am deeply disappointed in the tone and content of tonight's address."

Stockman said Obama was promising to "break his oath of office and begin enacting his own brand of law through executive decree."

"This is a wholesale violation of his oath of office and a disqualifying offense," the Texas congressman said.

But Stockman is all right with Ted Nugent threatening the president. Stockman rewarded Nugent with a seat at the SOTU last year after Nugent's controversial May 2012 "dead or in jail" comment.

10. Absolute POS

with these clods it's all about making sure they show the ultimate disrespect for our not so pearly white president. That's why they make such a point of remaining seated when everyone else applauds and why they must defeat his agenda at all costs (mostly to us since it doesn't hurt them at all)... treasonous bastards. As long as they can keep getting re-elected...
I dare you to physically try!

19. "Rule by executive order" The numbers don't lie

http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/data/orders.php

Bush had more EOs in his first term than Obama has had in his entire presidency so far. Obama had fewer EOs in his first term than any president since Grover Cleveland. These idiots believe the paranoid hype too much to care about numbers.

Repl
Yep, you are right.  Numbers don't lie.  Just the DUchebags who pick and choose.

Crazy idea: Democratic walkout during the State of the Union

We have ten days to write, call and fax all Dem representatives. They walk out en masse, and deliver their own state of the union on the Capitol steps before a zillion cameras. Change the story, lay down a vision, and let the planet know that opposition to this administration is indeed alive and well.

A crazy idea. It just might work.

Holy shit; I find myself in agreement with a DUmbshit.  On the bright side, with only 79 posts, the odds are heavy that this is somebody's mole.

Mr. Stockman showed more balls than the rest of the cowardly ****s in that chamber listening to the endless stream of bullshit pour forth from Dear Leader's cock holster, but that's an awfully low bar to clear. "Politically do-able" or not, the "opposition party" should be voting out articles of impeachment on a weekly basis, forcing Harry the Pederast to stack them like cord wood on the Senate chamber floor once his office is full to overflowing.

Anything less, as the DUmbshit points out, is cowardice.

The DUmmies might want to take a look at the content and
consequences of the EO's rather than the number of EO's written.

This ^^^^^^

With 0 threatening to cut off Congress, it would have served him right if they had done such a thing.

I remember watching one of GW's SOTU speeches where the (D)'s never stood or clapped for anything GW said.
It was a disgusting show of partisanship.

Ted Nugent is a US citizen.  Obama invited criminals to be there last night. The illegal immigrants that attended the SOTU at Obama's invitation should have been arrested as a security threat.

That was my initial thought too.  There were recommendations every single year that the Dems should walk out on President Bush's SOTU addresses and what a great thing it would be.

50. Stay classy, Stockman

The very same representative who invited Ted Nugent, a pants crapping, draft dodging chickenshit coward to last year's SOTU address. Class, pure class Mr. Stockman. If you don't respect the man, at least respect the office he holds and stay. Sit on your hands if you must, but decorum dictates that you stay put when a President is speaking. I don't care who that President is.

Once again, the original idea came from what miskie had linked.....

229. I'm sick of us Dems being so cowed by the media all the time.

Really, what do we have to lose? Do we ever get POSITIVE coverage from the corporate media? So they bash us a little more, who the hell cares? You never can tell, some of those mythical swing voters watching the show might decide those Dems have guts, regardless of what the RW pundits say.
Well, it now shows we have more guts then them.  And unlike Willie The Lush, there was no warning.

Only one other SOTU had lower ratings than this one, and it was one of Bill Clinton's. People are tired of being lied to by Obama and they are tuning him out.

  SHOULD I IMPEACH OBAMA?
JANUARY 29, 2014 BY BOB FARRIS
Barack ObamaDear Patriot,
I’m considering filing Articles of Impeachment against Barack Obama.
You see, I walked out of Obama’s State of the Union address last night.
Obama defiantly vowed not only to radically expand the reach of government from cradle to grave, but to smash the Constitution’s restrictions on government power while doing it.
His goal is to eliminate our constitutional republic.
Last year I said I would consider impeachment as a last resort to stop Obama’s abuse of power.
And, quite frankly, we’re running out of options.
But I can’t do it alone.
This will only succeed if I have hundreds of thousands standing with me.
That’s why I need to hear from you immediately.
Do you want Barack Obama impeached?

consequences of the EO's rather than the number of EO's written.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Some EO's are more constitutional than others.

For those saying Bush did more executive orders....does that mean Obama is the same ?? Doesn't that "change" campaign slogan go to shit if he is just carrying on President Bush's actions?

Too bad the entire GOP side didn't have the guts to do what Stockman did.

The GOP is not on our side anymore, TRG, only a handful who the GOP call "extremists".

I'm sorry, GOP, if wanting liberty, secure borders, lower taxes, and the deficit and debt cut make me "extreme", then damnit, call me a f'n extremist and don't come by my house with your hand out wanting a donation. I have a chain saw and I'm damn good at using it.
