Anyone plan on watching?
-
Not I, but I'm curious about something.
Traditionally, all nine justices of the Supreme Court attend, and it's newsworthy if one of them doesn't.
I'm wondering who'll be missing this evening.

Only 6 went last year. Scalia, Thomas and Alito sat it out.

I recall that Ruth Bader Ginsberg missed one during the Impeached One's administration, or this current administration. And it didn't have anything to do with her illness; it was that she was irked for some political reason.
-
I'll be watching but mainly for the comic value I find with watching Obama lie to the gullible for 60+ minutes
-
I'm going to watch the movie "Redeye" that is on 5MAXHD. It's about an assassination plot of a political figure. Entertainment value and all that. I don't think I can sit through hearing 0s voice for over an hour.
-
I would rather watch a channel that has methane farting German cows.

Anyone plan on watching?
I have to wash my hare.

Income Equality and Minimum wage... get ready for it.
-
It'll be on in this house since someone is enamored with Barry, so I'll be watching. :(
I'll be talking to the TV screen, too.
-
Also meant to mention it will be a campaign speech even though he can't technically be elected anymore.
-
Eh, I'm going to try.
Fortunately or unfortunately, I find that I seem unable to tolerate more then about 15 or 20 minutes.
I hope that code pink shows up or perhaps people start flying paper airplanes around.
-
Not just no, but HELL NO.
I'll read a transcript later. I can't stand watching that lying bastard read shit off TOTUS.
-
For those not watching he basically said he will do whatever he wants using Executive Orders to do as he pleases to "grow" America.
-
Also there is still Global Warming oh wait he said Climate Change. It's still exists and there is no debate.
-
This is really hard to watch but it's not unusual, he insists on being wrong about everything and taking responsibility for things that he has actively tried to kill.
It's pretty brutal.
-
Now he's stroking the feminists
childcare, time off, better pay, blah, blah, blah
-
Also there is still Global Warming oh wait he said Climate Change. It's still exists and there is no debate.
What an arrogant prick.

Anyone plan on watching?
Two new 'Counting Cars' and a new 'American Restoration' episode on tonight. NO way I'm wasting my time watching that lying, jug-eared asshole.
Cheers.

In fact, Obama failed to get any of his top 2013 State of the Union priorities through Congress. Congress ignored his calls for a new jobs program, for new gun controls and for sweeping immigration reform.
Because of that, the 2014 speech is viewed by strategists in both parties as part of a defining test: Can Obama rebuild his standing enough to force action on some of his priorities, or will 2014 instead be remembered as another frustrating year of gridlock and the gateway to "lame duck" status?
CNN (http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/28/politics/state-of-the-union-sales-pitch/)
As President Barack Obama enters his sixth year in the White House, 68 percent of Americans say the country is either stagnant or worse off since he took office, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
Most respondents used words like “divided,†“troubled,†and “deteriorating†to describe the current state of the nation.

There was a little blip on gun tragedies he addressed, too, and basically said that he'd do what he could to rid us of guns with or WITHOUT Congress.
Then he was talking about Iraq, Iran, and Syria, and how we should do what is Constitutionally acceptable. Paraphrased that, but this man is a JOKE, and a DANGEROUS joke at that.

An undocumented immigrant from Arizona who fasted for 22 days for immigration reform has been invited by first lady Michelle Obama to be her guest during President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address tonight.
“I hope to hear they are finally going to solve the issue of our broken immigration system so people stop getting deported, families stop getting separated and people stop dying in the desert,†Avila said.

Boy, 3, killed after 'drunk driving illegal immigrant with no insurance slammed into family's vehicle leaving them unable to pay for funeral'
A three-year-old Utah boy has been killed after an allegedly drunk driving illegal immigrant rear-ended his family's car while it was stopped at a red light, causing a five-vehicle pile up.
Zane Thurber, who was strapped into his car-seat in the back of his dad Matt's Subaru, died instantly in the horrific collision that occurred at a Taylorsville intersection around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
Manuel de Jesus Guinea was arrested at the scene on suspicion of automobile homicide and driving under the influence.
Jail booking records also show there is an immigration hold on Guinea, who was being held at the Salt Lake County jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Republican Texas Rep. Randy Weber tweeted from the House floor that President Obama is a “Socialistic dictator†while waiting for the State of the Union to begin.
“On floor of house waitin on ‘Kommandant-In-Chef’… the Socialistic dictator who’s been feeding US a line or is it ‘A-Lying?’†Weber tweeted Tuesday night at 8:09 p.m., approximately four hours before Obama’s speech was set to begin.

Obama made a point about domestic oil production being higher than ever.
Did I just ask for the IRS to audit me on Twitter?
@thundley4 now
@BarackObama Domestic oil production is up despite your policies, not because of them.

You can pump all the oil you want. If the economy is barely treading water, the price of gas will stay above $3/gallon.
-
I made the best use of the time during the speech. I fell asleep, now can't get back to sleep. It didn't matter, as he never tells the truth anyway. Is it right, as I was waking up, someone said that he said 9 million now have insurance through the ACA. I think that earned a bunch of pinnochios.
-
I managed to sit through 22 minutes of it. Did I missing anything that he hasn't said before?
-

Here...I'll share in that audit with you.
He's trying to take credit for production on private lands....stuff he has nothing to do with. He's all but closed the doors for good on production on federal lands.
-
I cruised through a couple of channels he was on . Good thing he was waiting for applause so I didnt here a words ..... Or applause. I cant watch him. He's just a Juan Williams with more votes.
-

Some of the R commentary afterwards called the speech a retread.
I think they have become a joke. Congress isn't getting the actual truth of the state of the country and as far as Obama's agenda goes, he basically tells congress to go to hell, that it's his way or the highway.
So I just don't see the point of the whole exercise.
-
Remember..he said...He won the election get over it.

Someone needs to look at DOE data. Domestic oil production peaked around 1970. At current levels, we produced more in 1950 than now.

If he really wanted to give an accurate State of the Union Address he could have just said "The economy still sucks, my attempts at having a foreign policy have all failed miserably and pretty much everyone has been negatively affected by my signature legislation. On a positive note my golf game has improved and I've got to visit some really nice places in the world for free."
