"If you're so smart, why ain't you rich?"
Got this quote from a friend's email:
"What gets me, is that people with a lot of money associate their wealth with super intelligence, super hardwork, and being all around a super person. Like when Bill Gates challenges the World Chess Champion to a game of Chess and loses in 75 seconds. An average player probably could have held out for 15 or 20 moves. Personally I think the part of one's brain that is devoted to making money , crowds out everything else when that's your only goal in life."
As opposed to devoting one's life to working the system?

I completely agree. It's truly sad to watch them make asses of themselves. I know an idiot. He always was the dumbest one in the class and the least curious around. But he got lucky and got rich and now he thinks he's so smart!
It would be funny if it wasn't so sad!
Yep...only the dumb lucky ones get rich. :whatever:

3. Maybe I'm not rich because I'm so smart.
I realized a long time ago that those who make a lot of money usually screw people over. I prefer to face myself in the mirror without flinching every morning.
Yep....the only way to get rich is to screw people.

10. That's the smartest kind of smart there is...
...It's called love -- the realization that another human being has infinite value and one's own path in existence is determined by that knowledge.
Too many never learn that lesson. For proof: Just look around at the world today and see.
Huh? Tokers are the smartest of the smart...now sing :kumbaya:

Hey DUmmie, that's the party line, and you're on thin ice even questioning it.

But not smart enough to figure out how to give people good paying jobs while curing all the world's ills?

I'll field this one for the DUmbasses.
1. The evil white republican male has rigged the game against people that think they are really smart but have no accomplishments.
2. The country was and is unfair to people that think they are really smart but have no accomplishments.
3. Hardcore socialists/progressives/fascists haven't been control so the country is unfair to people that think they are really smart but have no accomplishments.
4. The wrong people are in charge throughout collectivism in every country it has been tried so people that think they are really smart but have no accomplishments can't get ahead.
5. The world is unfair to people that think they are really smart but have no accomplishments.
6. Having to work hard is unfair to people that think they are really smart but have no accomplishments.
7. Having multiple mental diseases is unfair to people that think they are really smart but have no accomplishments.

For a group who doesn't believe money is all that important they sure do talk about how jealous they are that some have too much of it and how they need to have more.

7. Justin Bieber is Rich. Paris Hilton is Rich, Lindsay Lohan is rich
Nothing about being rich requires you to be smart. And I won't even get into the political idiots who also happen to be rich.
I will.
Try this thought experiment. Imagine that someone grows up in poverty, works his way through law school by holding the night shift as a Capitol Hill policeman, and spends all but two years of his career as a public servant. Now imagine that this person’s current salary — and he’s at the top of his game — is $193,400. You probably wouldn’t expect him to have millions in stocks, bonds, and real estate.
But, surprise, he does, if he’s our Senate majority leader, whose net worth is between 3 and 10 million dollars, according to OpenSecrets.org.
