Sadly Texas is a large state so the more liberal urban areas get more diluted by the size.

51. The impetus for NAFTA actually began with Ronald Reagan

NAFTA was signed by President George H.W. Bush, Mexican President Salinas, and Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney in 1992. It was ratified by the legislatures of the three countries in 1993. The U.S. House of Representatives approved it by 234 to 200 on November 17, 1993. The U.S. Senate approved it by 60 to 38 on November 20, three days later.

In the House a bipartisan coalition of 132 Republicans and 102 Democrats prevailed over the opposition of 156 Democrats, 43 Republicans and one independent.

In the Senate the vote was 61 YEAs and 38 NAYs and 1 not voting.

Not a single DUmmie called him on this blatant lie.

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) is signed into law by President Bill Clinton. Clinton said he hoped the agreement would encourage other nations to work toward a broader world-trade pact.

NAFTA, a trade pact between the United States, Canada, and Mexico, eliminated virtually all tariffs and trade restrictions between the three nations. The passage of NAFTA was one of Clinton's first major victories as the first Democratic president in 12 years--though the movement for free trade in North America had begun as a Republican initiative.

During its planning stages, NAFTA was heavily criticized by Reform Party presidential candidate Ross Perot, who argued that if NAFTA was passed, Americans would hear a "giant sucking sound" of American companies fleeing the United States for Mexico, where employees would work for less pay and without benefits. The pact, which took effect on January 1, 1994, created the world's largest free-trade zone.

What I've learned about the Affordable Care Act (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10024685964)

What I've learned after a three-month war with these fiends: the ACA says the insurance companies cannot deny coverage to those with pre-existing conditions, which is true as far as it goes. But they can deny coverage for the life-saving medications necessary to treat those conditions. The insurance company I signed up with through the ACA exchange just denied coverage of my wife's multiple sclerosis medication. We're "covered," to the tune of $700 a month...just not for what she really needs.

A cozy loophole, that.

**** you, insurance industry.

**** you, Mr. President, you piece of shit used-car salesman.

From my heart and soul, **** you.

 :rotf:

Wow Willie, it would have been nice if someone would have told you before hand that Obamacare would not be a great thing. Too bad that didn't happen. Too bad no one issued a single warning about it before it passed.

106. I am constantly amazed at how the worker-ownership silver bullet appears invisible to lefties ...

The whole concept seems to fly right over the heads of most "progressives" who would rather bemoan how "bad" capitalism is, rather than go straight to the core of the issue to incentivize worker-ownership start-ups and buyouts with the tax code (instead of ****ing rewarding offshoring, etc.).

Worker owners do NOT vote to ship their jobs over seas, not EVER.

Worker ownership permanently anchors both jobs and capital into their local host communities.

Yet, so few people seem aware of this option still. Crap, this was the focus of my graduate program back in the ****ing 80s, and people STILL seem utterly oblivious to this as a legitimate option. Sure, I can blame the M$M, but that surely is not the whole story here. Why the **** are people so obtuse on this one?

Do you know?

113. Because most people don't want, or aren't able, to run businesses.

Some people, myself included, are far more comfortable working on an agreed upon job for an agreed upon salary, and not assuming the huge potential risks of supporting (even in a cooperative structure) a business where your payout comes only after all the other bills are paid
.

The  mask slips, you want all the rewards with none of the risk.
Piece of crap vermin.

Exactly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is America where one can start with nothing and become as rich as they can if they're willing to do what's necessary. Unfortunately DUmmies because of laziness, greed and envy wants government to make sure everyone starts with nothing, makes nothing, keeps nothing and dies with nothing.

Raccoon bite, rabies series?

$18,000. I shit you not. I was walking, didn't spend a day in the hospital, just got injected with bad shit in the emergency room and got shots that took a total of five minutes apiece.

to have found one that felt the same way. If she didn't like you all that much, or you just weren't all that great, her getting pregnant doesn't guaruntee you getting to marry her and live happily ever after. Count up the thousands in child support you saved, and call it good dude!

Yes, and  Ted Bundy wore shoes. Therefore, if you wear shoes, you're a mass murdering necrophiliac, right, MohRokTah?

This has to be one of the stupidest damn things I have ever read even if you do believe Officer Wilson was guilty and not defending himself. Therefore, if you haven't been nominated already, I'd like this primitive to be nominated for Top DUmmie of 2014.
