Get Ready To See Michelle Obama's Face Plastered All Over Your Local Subway Sandwich Shop
http://www.ijreview.com/2014/01/110369-get-ready-see-michelle-obamas-face-plastered-local-subway-sandwich-shop/
The first lady was expected to announce Thursday that the Subway sandwich chain will spend $41 million over three years to encourage finicky young eaters to eat more food that comes out of the ground or grows on trees. The announcement was being made at a Subway shop near the White House.
Subway will only offer a kids’ menu that mirrors federal standards for school lunches. That includes offering apples on the side and low-fat or nonfat plain milk or water as a default beverage.
Sorry I don't need to see that before I try to eat. I guess it will be Quizno's for me from now own.
You know this is a great publicity campaign for the other sandwich shops.
-
Guess it's a good thing I don't really eat at Subway anymore. I don't think I could keep lunch down with the First Yeti constantly staring at me like that.
-
I am betting this campaign losses Subway's profits, not enhance them.
-
I haven't touched a Subway or Quiznos since Jersey Mike's hit the West Coast.
-
So, they're going to serve a shit sandwich?

-
If they really wanted people to eat healthier wouldn't they put her picture in McDonald's and Burger Kings?
-
Have other Presidents commercialized themselves like this?
I mean American ones, not the third world dictators.
Can you imagine what the left would have done if they put Laura Bush's face on their Tom & Jerry's ice cream containers or their Starbucks' cups?
-
So, they're going to serve a shit sandwich?
That was good--H5!
-
Wonder what the kick back to Moochell is? How much will she be lining her pockets before this campaign is over?

She's stocking up for the D-I-V-O-R-C-E.

Maybe someone will write a country song about Moochelle and Obingo...call it..."I'm gonna shave you outta my life"....or "I'll not be your BEARD anymore."

My go to sandwich shop is Togo's (http://togos.com/). I've been enjoying their sandwiches since the 70's here in California. I haven't tried Jersey Mike's as of yet but want to since they've opened a couple shops here in the area.

Same here. I love their ham and turkey sandwich.

With a cherry on top!

I'm thinking about going on the new Moochelle Obama "Subway" diet....you walk in, look at Moochelle's picture, get sick, throw up, lose appetite, leave. I should be able to drop 50 pounds in a couple of weeks.

They have a sandwich that's not on the menu that I like, the #28. It's ham, turkey and dry salami...goes great with swiss cheese.

^5! Perfect

That is about what would happen if I walked in and saw her picture plastered everywhere.

We have this:
Their concept was to capture the hearts of "real turkey lovers," an idea that would separate Capriotti's Sandwich Shop from almost all of its competition. They wanted to roast whole fresh turkeys overnight, a concept that no other sandwich shop in the area offered. They began by cooking one turkey per night, but the demand grew to the point where they were cooking 10 to 12 turkeys per night. They served sandwiches made-to-order with fresh roasted pulled turkey, the best quality meats and cheeses, and fresh rolls and produce delivered daily.

I'll be visiting mine. When I get to the counter to place my order, look over at the "pic", look sick, state I'm suddenly feeling decidedly ill and that I've lost my appetite, and leave. If enough do it, they'll yank down those disgusting signs.

I'm a Firehouse Subs guy. I haven't been in a Subway shop since my parents passed away.
-
There's a Sub Depot here... I don't know if it's a local store or a national chain, but their menu and food is miles better than Subway.

Discovered Firehouse Subs when we moved to Utah. Great food, good prices, my son loves all the retired firefighting gear as decor, and Moo-chelle's disgusting mug is only staring back at you from the urinal cake in the men's john.

How the hell do you "lose" something that gi-normous?!?
No, really; I'd like to know, because maybe we could use the same technique on Moo-chelle. :-)

From the looks of that butt, I don't believe that's the only pole she's ever clamped down on.

Gives a whole new meaning to "voluminous backside."

Oh my goodness! My eyes just cannot un-see that

Plenty of local/regional chains here, including Moe's. Meh.

Subway's processed meat is so full of pressed water. The toppings are usually fresh. It's rare for me to go there, but there is one close to my workplace and once in a while a coworker is already going there so that is what we have.

IMO, the regional chains make the best subs, so that's where I go. Around here, it's called Jreck's.
I'm trying to think of a sandwich that uses something that "grows on trees." From the ground, we got lettuce, tomato and onion, OK. But trees? An apple sandwich? A horse chestnut sandwich? What am I not getting?

Avocados?

My son works at our local Subway. It was the first place he was offered a job. He is now looking for something new
-
Good for him. I wish him good luck with his job hunting. :)
-
Cold cuts come out of the ground or grow on trees? ....Who knew?
-
I occasionally go to Subway but if the company is so blind to have Michelle Obama as a spokesperson, they do not need my business.

Yup. I'll go to Wally World and get one of their sandwiches first. And those are pretty awful.

I'm not a fan of Subway. The only thing I've ever ordered from there is the tuna. If I want a real sub, I go to a local Italian place.
I also like those big juicy greasy sandwiches they have at a grill. One down the street makes a great pastrami or a beef dip, both with an insane amount of meat on them and there is enough for two meals. I would be sick if I ever tried to eat one in one sitting.
They also make the best onion rings
