9. One would presume that it's not the god of the Southern Republicans.
What does one do when both sides of an issue claim God on their side?
As it has always been, as it will likely always be, until we set aside such foolishness.
The Nazi SS wore a belt buckle that said, God is on are side.
Gott mit uns. God with us
As it has ever been.
Martin Luther King Jr. Indeed used god to bring forth his message. In context of the culture of the 50's and the 60's that was entirely appropriate.
But now, the only people claiming God's authority are people with a far more insidious agenda.
I will leave it there.

Observe the primitive trying to look intelligent in front of his lesser friends. Problem is... he's wrong.
The DUllard is thinking of the German Army belt buckle from World War I and World War II. In fact Gott mit uns is an expression with origins in the 17th Century in Teutonic Germany and appears on Fredrick I's coat of arms from the early 18th Century.
The DUmpmonkey tries to connect faithful people with the NAZIS and the SS by asserting that "Gott mit uns" appears on the NAZI SS belt buckle.
The SS belt buckle actually says "Meine Ehre Heisst Treue" or "My honor is Loyalty".
DUmptard... just shut the hell up if you don't know what the **** you are talking about. Oh and "are and our" are not the same word because they sound alike, DUmpturd.

As an actual response to the DUmmy's question, in such a case, I look at what the Bible and church theology actually say in such cases. Usually, both sides have at least some part of it wrong. But, of course, that's not what the DUmmy was trying to say. He was just trying to make an "all religious people are stupid and evil" rant.

They believe whatever they absorb from media, and for lack of other politically-safe bogeymen, and from the safety of historical distance, American media has been on a bender of declaring everything German between 1920 and 1950 "Nazi" for the past 20 years so they can point at it and go "Ewww!"...even the supposedly 'historically-oriented' media. Media material produced between 1950 and around 1970 to 1980 was vastly better at making realistic historical distinctions and drawing German characters as three-dimensional people, both good and bad, rather than the cardboard cut-outs that are the universal backdrop for ridiculous and bombastic posturing now.

And none of the DUmmies over there called him/her/it on it. Smartest people evah! :whatever:

Unless it comes from "Raw Story", "The Obama Diary", "Talking Points Memo", "Media Matters"...among other goofball sites, it is NOT considered actual news.
