18 minute video discussion of Obama's legacy and how it won't be healthcare...his hatred of American culture.....his Muslim Trojan horse....Benghazi and common core porn.
Watch at least the first few minutes describing Obama's plan to change the bible belt southern red states to blue and all of America in general.

I personally don't think he has limited his sites to America.
Where else do you think he wants to spread his brand?
Personally, I find him lazy. Obama all on his own couldn't be implementing all of this, he's just the front man. There is an organized movement behind him, and a lot of this has been being put into place for years, under the radar.

If you put a name to the leader of the "organized movement behind him", then you would know immediately the answer to your question, "Where else..."

He's getting a lot of help from people like the arab woman Valerie Jarrett.

I'll need more info. Are we playing checkers, chess, monopoly, or sorry? :)

Well... initially, I would have said "chess" - but "monopoly" is a distinct possibility... I'll have to pray/think through this answer...

Man, that's like profound, to the point of being confusing.
Psssst. You're trying too hard.

Not really - i'm not trying at all.
every leaves the spiritual aspect out of the discussion. I wasn't going to introduce it if the general attitude of this forum was disrespect and disdain for God.
thought I'd test those waters cautiously first. Turns out I don't have to.

Nobody's taking you seriously. Have you figured that out yet?

Nobody's taking you seriously. Have you figured that out yet?
Actually I'd like to take it seriously, after all it has said some things that I could get down with.
But it all gets washed away in a sea of insufferable narcissism.
So much self absorption that it probably has lost the ability to understand when it might be demeaning or insulting.

I'm getting more than a little sense of elitist snobbism from this person. They're coming across more and more like a DUmmie with every post.

yes, I have. however... that's not because of *me*...
-
yes, I have. however... that's not because of *me*...
But it is because of you. If you get onto an elevator and fart, then laugh about it, don't be surprised if everyone else gets off at the next floor.
So what have you said, or done, to earn respect for your opinion?
-
yes, I have. however... that's not because of *me*...
Yes, it is because of you...specifically.
That is what you continually fail to learn.

thanks for your kind and thoughtful suggestions about how I can be accepted as a peer among so many worthy intellects.

That's fine.
You're free to continue on the path you are on, which has obviously served you so well in the past.
If you think things will be different here, well, I suggest you don't unpack your bags.

indeed; the magnanimous intellectual overtures have been underwhelming.

Calling this person an elitist snob is an insult to elitist snobs worldwide.
I was referred to as an "it." This person is channeling Buffalo Bill Gumb. Pretty soon, the posts will inform me: "It rubs the lotion on its skin. It does this whenever it's told."

Today was my first day on this site; I wrote several posts, each with a slightly different "voice," testing the waters to see what type of response I would get, to see what kind of 'tone' was "permitted' here -- Apparently, the only "tone" I, at least, will be "permitted" here is insipid and undistinguished comments that have neither depth, nor individuality.
And if you think I'm being "overly sensitive" go read the posts directed towards me "primitives discuss the cost of a cat " the replies to me border are malicious, bordering on psychotic.
-
Are you new to the Internet? So you got a little hazing. Tough shit.
If you think you have to adopt a certain "tone" to post here, it makes me wonder if you need to be online to begin with. Do you not have your own voice? Are you incapable of speaking plainly or allowing others their own depth or individuality?

at this point, Dog, I'm beginning to think you are cyber-stalking me, since you're the person who has responded most often to my posts - and not a single thing you've written has been either insightful, or remotely cordial.
I must wonder why you are so.. antagonistic toward me...

Dogs love chew toys.
Being a crazy cat lady, you wouldn't understand that.

Going forward, when you post you must come to me, kiss my ring and then explain how your post fits into the bigger picture.

Actually, all the evidence indicates I DO have to 'adopt a certain tone' on this site.
On this particular post, i was going to broach the spiritual qualities of obama and his cronies... but I was loath to do so if:
1. discussion about spiritual topics result in grandstanding and/or personal attacks (since religious discussions tend to be more sensitive in nature, anyway.)
2. there was no interesting in that topic
Even just testing the waters resulted in personal attacks from you people, most frequently headed by BigDog.
If this was high school, I'd say y'all were the jocks, and i was the new girl transferred in from the private academy.
I was under the opinion I was dealing with adults, not adolescent bullies.
-
Today was my first day on this site; I wrote several posts, each with a slightly different "voice," Should have just been honest and not tried to fool with people.
testing the waters to see what type of response I would get, to see what kind of 'tone' was "permitted' here Pretty open unless you are trolling.
-- Apparently, the only "tone" I, at least, will be "permitted" here is insipid and undistinguished comments that have neither depth, nor individuality. There's that liberal elitism rearing it's ugly head.
-
So you got a little hazing. Big ****ing deal. Others were prepared to welcome you as a member here, but you chose to clutch your emotional baggage and use it as a bludgeon against people who had nothing to do with your earlier treatment.
-
Should have just been honest and not tried to fool with people.
"Voice" is a literary term encompassing tone, use of language and point of view. Not trying to "fool" anyone -- just trying to ascertain the audience and what is "permitted". EVERY site I've ever been on has a list of unacknowledged "rules" by which they permit people to post. Including this one.
Pretty open unless you are trolling.
Not really - -all I've gotten from you people is CRAP. Read the hate-filled posts written to me when I made some suggestions about the pros and cons of getting a cat for a pet on the thread "primitives discuss the cost of a cat". There was NOTHING i said in that post that could be construed as political or offensive, or trolling - but I was belittled and mocked.
I'm not the problem when I suggest to someone they carefully consider WHY they want to buy a cat, and am ridiculed for the suggestion.
-- Apparently, the only "tone" I, at least, will be "permitted" here is insipid and undistinguished comments that have neither depth, nor individuality. There's that liberal elitism rearing it's ugly head
Which is what y'all are doing to me, not the other way around. So far there is ONLY post I've written that hasn't been maligned - and its the only post in which i offered an insight that was effectively the same as everyone else's.
-
So you got a little hazing.
Isn't hazing a form of abuse, used to demean and belittle people?
-

You're overthinking this. Desperately. Are you incapable of politely socializing and learning your surroundings?

I said, " I wrote several posts, each with a slightly different "voice," testing the waters to see what type of response I would get, to see what kind of 'tone' was "permitted' here
So - I said this, and FIRST, you said, "You should have just been honest and not tried to fool with people." (while I was trying to learn about my surroundings) and now I WAS supposed to "learn" about my surroundings...
could you please tell me: is "learning about my surroundings" trying to fool people, or exactly what I'm supposed to do? Cuz that is actually what I was trying to do... and believe me, I learned soooooo very much about y'all....
-

not when you act so much alike...
understand, Chris: I did EXACTLY what you said I should do... and all I got from people is crap. Maybe not you, specifically, but - please answer me: If I was doing EXACTLY what you said I should do -- what did I do to deserve so much belligerent disdain from people?

Go back and re-read your second post. You've had a chip on your shoulder all day.

I am an adult - with an IQ of 140. And I am a parent, with two "special needs" kids - one with autism, and one who is a full-blown genius.
So I have a ton of really unusual life experiences.
I don't "over think" things -- I just actually think. And I can't help thinking, cuz of the "near genius" level IQ - and then I spent several years learning to think on two completely different ends of an intellectual spectrum to accommodate my kids -- and that made me learn to think harder, and deeper, and more prayerfully than any person should ever have to.
I see things, I think about them... and I wonder how it is that you can't see what I see. But then, when I think about it -- I must conclude -- you don't want to see it.

This is one of the better trolls. 55 posts in a single day. Argumentative, superiority complex, with nothing better to do that fight all day. It is nearly 7 am, and the troll is still on board.
I vote it's a transgender liberal. It says its a female, but on DU that could mean anything.

Half the people on Earth have one.

My lifes experience has been that anyone talking about what their IQ is typically overestimates it by double.

While you're at it, Penfold, make one for me too.
Please.
Oh, and no mustard. I'm allergic to it.

Oh, yeah.

Big Dog is almost infallible at sniffing out libs.
Libs don't think.
They either react or emote.
Or both.
Mr. Mann had a great post.
Short, sweet, and with an incredibly concentrated soul of wit.
I approve of all Big Dog's posts, but not in advance.
