I often wonder if he were Caucasian with a different name
What many who dislike our President would think of him today

I don't think this went down the way the OP thought it would ...

4. back to the despicable tactic of broadly hinting that people who don't support the President

in every ****ing particular, are nothing but racists.

Contemptible shit.

I guess she probably means broadly hinting that DEMOCRATS who don't support ...

31. Well said.

Are there racists among the president's opposition. Sure...that's obvious. But is the majority of opposition to the president the result of racism? No ****ing way. As has been pointed out, conservative opposition to liberal white presidents has been no less vociferous.

What the hell does THIS post mean??

5. He would be the greatest President ever and would have gotten a D Congress throughout

Though on the other hand, I think then he might not be who he is.

Scratch a Dem, find a racist.

8. I would think mostly the same as far as policies go, and probably think less of him if he were

a white guy. Because I do think the fact he is black was a good thing for America to elect him. A step forward. If he had been white, I couldn't say that.

9. You need to add 'and was from a silver spoon family.' They hated Clinton because he grew up poor. nt

36. Erm...but Clinton left himself wide open with a personal character flaw.

And then there's Whitewater, which did get a few prosecutions.

And then there was that whole thing about questionable pardons for questionable people.

Obama is just...well, black.

Don't you see what's going on here?

I guess because O'bama is "well, black." we MUST overlook his policies and foibles.

There's more at the link.

If he was white with a different name, he would not have won a second term and quite possibly even a first. I can't think of any white person who could have been elected president with such a short resume.

Exactly.  A white man with Obama's talents and experience would not have any chance in politics.

If he were Causasian with a different name, would he have an 85% approval rating among Blacks?

If he were white, what doors would have been open to him.  His grandparents likely would have financed at least some of his college, but he probably wouldn't have been able to go to Harvard law, since he would have lacked Saudi support.  If he displayed the same level of ambition and lack of curiosity that he has today, he probably would have wound up an administrator in a school district somewhere.

Just hazarding a guess.

Especially because blacks are doing horrible under this president and his policies.

A guy with zero experience, zero accomplishments, no background, and white? Would never had made it into Harvard.

44. Obama's approval rating started at well over 60%

Now around 40%.

I think this is easily explained by Obama's love of the wealthy at the expense of the rest of us. People are figuring it out as time goes on and our lot in life keeps dropping, dropping.

It is explained by Obama's love of himself at the expense of the rest of us, Manny.  Calling republicans racist for opposing Barry stopped working a few years ago, now the racism charge seems to have lost its sting even when it's used against democrats.

If Barry was white he wouldn't be president but he could find comfort in living an anonymous, blissful, shame-free life with his soul mate Reggie Love.

I've never seen a group as concerned about skin color as DU. The fact of the matter is that, regardless of skin color, their messiah in chief is just as much white as he is black. In other words, a black person still has not been elected president. A black guy did try to run last election (Herman Cain, Republican), but the liberal press essentially chased him from the race.

I can tell you with certainty that I would feel exactly as I few now. Because I hate the white half, too. But I give him one kudo for saving us from Hitlery Cankles.

A socialist by any other name--or race--would smell. . . . Well, they would just smell. They would stink. And that's why we don't like B.O. Plenty.

I'm surprised there are some DUmmies who admit that we don't like Obama, not because he's Halfrican-American, but because he's a leftist.

Charles, the ONLY reason they are admitting it now is because they are starting to hate on him too and THEY are not racist, therefore it must be some other reason they are hating on him.

Bunch of hippo crits.

At this point, I'm thinking we would be better off with Hitlery.  She's wicked and thug-like, but Obama is all thug.
