Government-by-Blackmail: FBI investigates Monica Conyers
Advertisements [?]
Agents have asked questions about people inside and outside Detroit city government, including Councilwoman Monica Conyers

Sources familiar with the public corruption investigation said the FBI has wiretapped phones, a move that suggests the probe has been under way for some time...

Is this an example of what McCamy Taylor and Lisa Pease have previously exposed -- Government-by-Blackmail?
Keep up the good fight, John Conyers.
I brought this over because of DUmmie bandit's comment in bold below. My mouth dropped open. I was stunned.

1. If there is corruption I am in favor of eliminating it no matter who is involved.
It matters not to me if it is a Democrat or a Republican, if they are corrupt get them out of there. Republicans always go to bat for their corrupt people instead of demanding removal. That is a major difference between Liberals and Conservatives. Conservatives don't care about the means, only the ends..

2. Agree, but I don't think eliminating it is always the reason for investigations.
J. Edgar got pretty much whatever he wanted because he had files on most everyone in power, everyone who might rise to power, and all the people dear to the first two groups. Terra terra terra has given cover to over the top surveillance of everyone so I figure corruption has a new king these days.

Uh huh...
Clinton ring a bell anyone?

Does Tom DeLay ring a bell? Does William Jefferson bang a gong?

I agree. The level of insanity in that statement is ASTONISHING. Republicans are thew FIRST to throw their own under the bus at even a HINT of scandal.
Does Congressman William Jefferson ring a bell? had he been an (R) he would have been ousted immediately. And of course, bubba.

Does the despicable murderer Ted Kennedy being in the senate for thirty-nine years after the fact blow an air horn?

Do they not even know what Monica Conyers is like?!?!? Holy smoke she is a first class dumbass, embarrassment, and loser.

How easy they forget the ones with te R next to their names that have had to fall on their swords before a trial and yet how many Dems have stayed in office long after their crimes have been committed? I'm betting the list of Republicans is longer then the criminal Democrats. In case there's any doubt here are some more D names.
Marion Barry- Caught tried and convicted and still got elected to another office
William Jefferson - I know he was mentioned but he is still in office
Jim McDermont - Had to pay money after being sued by a fellow Senator
Robert Torricelli - Campain finance scandal
Frank Lautenberg - Lautenberg unexpectedly returned to politics in 2002, when the other New Jersey senator, Democrat Robert Torricelli, withdrew his candidacy for reelection, because of corruption charges. It was rumored, however, that Lautenberg was the second choice to run, the first choice being former Senator Bill Bradley, who turned it down.
The selection of Lautenberg came with some irony, as there had been notoriously bad blood between Lautenberg and Torricelli when the two had served together in the Senate.[2]
The New Jersey Republican Party challenged the replacement of Torricelli's name on the ballot with Lautenberg's, arguing that it came too late according to state election laws. The ballot name change was unanimously upheld by the New Jersey Supreme Court[3], and the U.S. Supreme Court declined to take up the case. Lautenberg won the election, defeating his Republican challenger, businessman Doug Forrester, by 54% to 44%. That victory made Lautenberg one of very few who in recent times returned to the Senate after leaving it.
Jack Murtha - Already mentioned but his les about US Marines
and a pending lawsuit should be enough of an embarrasment that the Democratic party should have been calling for his head. Its apparently not that big of a deal yet the Dems say they support our troops, :whatever:
Diane Finestien - Has managed to get Government contracts given to her husbands company while a member of the Senate that are highly questionable as to hos his bids won
Harry Reid - managed to get into some shady real estate deals in Nevada and has yet to be investigated.

.....and ABSCAM.

Gary Condit..
Jim Wright..
The list is long for dems that the voters took out of office but the party never would.

DUmmies like Bandit invent history as is needed to maintain their predetermined beliefs.
