Had breakfast at Denny's this morning, the manager made it a point to tell us that
the minimum wage in Ohio went up today and he would have to cut employees and raise prices. I didn't know how much they went
up at the time. I just checked the regular minimum age is going from $7.85 to $7.95 and people that get tips $3.93 to $3.98. So this asshole
is making a ass of himself over the extra 5 ****ing cents he will have to pay his waitresses. If I would have known it at the time I would have given him a
nickle.

1. I'd have told him that if he did that, I'd take my business somewhere else.
See how he likes that. Why some Denny's manager would tell a customer something like that, I can't figure out, in the first place. In the second, I'd tell him off for it, pay my bill and never come back. But I'd let him know that his assholery is why.

5. I thought it was going up a dollar or something the way he talked. I said your employees will have
more money to spend and in the long run he would probably get more business. He said the high prices will just
drive customers away and he will have to cut jobs. I assume he is one that watches Faux News. What
would a manager make at Denny's a little more than minimum wage anyway I bet.
:rotf: not the owner, the manager :rotf:

I doubt that the original bouncy even happened. Price hikes are nothing that businesses like to advertise. If anything, the dork3 DUmmie went in and complained because his tab was higher than it was the last time he went there.

dork twee should go to some other place. Where he'll find out that the other place had to raise prices and cut jobs in order to make a profit.
Plus, now a lot of union bosses are rubbing their grubby hands together as their base is tied to multiples of the minimum wage.

Cause = effect. Something the dummies cannot seem to comprehend.
-
If I had a nickel for every time a manager of a business walked up to me and told me all about his business woes, I'd be five cents in the hole.
-
I love how the DUmmies think that the employees having more money will magically boost profits of the employer. Using their logic if they send me all their money, I will have more money so they should profit big time.

Yeah, probably made up. A manager who really did initiate such a discussion with customers, over a measly ten cent per hour increase, is too stupid in both internal management and customer relation skills to keep his job.

And managers don't set wages or prices.

Unless this Denny's is a magic Denny's.
It was possibly that the manager Dork twee spoke with knew of dork's propensity of being, not just a dummie, but a really stupid DUmmie and was just feeding him a line to get his ignorant dork butt out of there and into the Hardee's down the street.

Well, of course it is silly!

where every adolescent desire comes with no consequence, whatsoever.
Cause = effect.
Does not (D)Umpute.

And most managers don't really give two rips about their employee's wages going up by a whopping nickel. Hell, the employees probably don't give a damn.
(Memo to DUmmies--see what I did there? Proper use of the apostrophe. Try it sometime. No, you won't look any smarter, but you might appear less stupid. Wait--no, you won't. Never mind.)

Every time I eat at a Denny's the manager always stops at my table to complain about the wages they have to pay their employees. :mental:

If you saw some of the employees that they have there at 3 am, you'd bitch too. Then again, if you're there at 3 am...

DUmmies never ever mention this in their discussions of minimum wage.
-
3 to 5 cents, is that all Ohio did? NY jumped 75 cents.

Hey, 0300 is when the fun begins at Denny's when all of the drunks from the local bars stagger in for their after drinking Grand Slams.

Just like extending unemployment payments to infinity creates jobs while food stamps stimulate the economy.

Well, it is John Kasich's state so obviously he's just being a big meanie pants.
-
Calif. has a $9 minimum wage law. But it probably costs twice as much to live here as is does in Ohio.
Hey DUmmies....see how that works?
What am I thinking, nothing gets through to them. :thatsright:

It's 2 am here.....and the shootings take place at 2:15 in the parking lot.

I was at Waffle House at 2am the other day. Just got off work and was starving and feeling a bit lazy. Won't set foot in the defense (gun) free zone that is Denny's.
-
That reminds me: It's been almost 10 years now of observing the primitives and not once in those 10 years -- not ONCE -- have I been fortunate enough to encounter some moonbat trying to set me or someone around me straight about the evils of not being wholly immersed in liberalism. After 10 years you think it would have at least happened once with the daily barrage we read about at the island.
Very disappointed.

Years ago I waitressed the graveyard shift at a neighborhood Dennys. I didn't feel unsafe and never had any problems, but the police ate for free, so we usually had cop cars in the lot, and yes they were allowed to wear their guns.

How much of the new $15 minimum wage in SeaTac will be passed on to customers? Quite a bit, I expect.

But trickle-down economics doesn't exist....

This bouncy was so poorly written, I did a double take when I saw that it wasn't from poor stupid rsmithnumbers.
It sounds exactly like poor stupid rsmith, including even his comment about not wanting anyone to "loose" their job.
It's astonishing that anyone would even suspect this encounter actually happened, but of course the DUmmies eat it up.
To express skepticism would sacrifice DUmp cred.
We don't call 'em DUmmies for nothing.

Minimum wage goes up to $9.00 hr.
Denny's Grand Slam goes down to 1.50
PROFIT!

Yes indeed!!
It is the superior mathematic skills and economic understandings that you have highlighted, which we would never understand, having been applied, that have transformed Detroit from the jobless non-industrial state it existed as in the time of our fathers, to the economic powerhouse and social utopia it is today.
