How ironic would it be if Blackberry, left for dead by virtually everyone, began marketing its products as the only smartphone that does not allow the NSA access to one's data (and did so accordingly). Since pretty much everything else it has tried has failed, we don't see the downside to this hail mary attempt to strike back at Big Brother and maybe make some money, by doing the right thing for once.
I'm tempted to go back to a Blackberry device except I am furious with them for agreeing to wait until the day after the 2008 election to lay off people at their Texas location.

I thought I put this in Science, but it ended up in Politics? :scratching head:
Mods, please move this to wherever it belongs.

I hope you saved some outrage for Rick Warren.

What's he done now? He's been nonexistent to me since he did the invocation at 0's inauguration.

Well, he hasn't apologized for his nearly one man show in getting the evangelicals to consider owebuma to be a legitimate presidential candidate. His invitation to McCain and owebuma at Saddleback church never once delved into all the ways an evangelical should reject owebuma. I was very disappointed with him and I'm not sure he even realizes the damage to our country that he helped to enable.

NSA can't hack my iphone.....I don't have one.
They can probably hack my cell phone.....that I lose or leave laying around somewhere I ain't....that I mostly use to say, "Is dinner ready yet?"....which isn't any kind of code for, "Don't start the revolution without me."

I've got one of the new Z10's they are awesome. I highly suggest getting one of the new BB's.

Both my husband and I got the new BBs a while ago, but took them back the next day. I can't even remember now why we both hated them... Different reasons. His was email, I think. He didn't like something about the email client. Mine was probably because of the security. The very reason I am considering one now. LOL Live and learn. ;) I honestly never dreamed that folks at the IRS would be possibly interested in perusing my email and the sites I visit.
Purple Sage tends to be rather naive at times.

NSA ain't hacking MY iPhone. I got the optional double secret probationary encryption setup with mine. (AKA: I wouldn't be caught dead with an iPhone on my person... :-) )
