Well, the paper work is done...
Now the hard part. Picking an apartment.
I have five apartment complexes to choose from. Four have studios . This is going to be hard. They are all really nice places with all the amenities you want and need. Going to have to do a lot of study of the places. Have only 3 weeks to decide.

I bet the paperwork is done, alright:
so there's four studio apartments and a one bedroom? Duh, Amber .. . :mental:
They are all really nice places with all the amenities you want and need.
Take the one closest to the sauna. Going to need to unwind after a long hard day at the office. Hopefully, that one will offer valet parking. You know how difficult finding a space is during the evening rush.
Location close to the train station. This will allow her to leave her car home and take the train to the airport when business takes her to NYC or LA.
Swimming pool. Don't accept a unit that is too far from it. Same goes for the exercise room.
Shops, especally boutiques, must be close to the front door. The hair stylist should be no more than 1 block away.
Which one is closest to the imaginary Indian? :???:
Does it matter? I'm sure any one of them will be great for Chief Running Drugs to relocate his "business operations" to. :whistling:Where they going to keep his horse?
Where they going to keep his horse?
Where they going to keep his horse?

Don't overlook the value of a compost pile.
The unwashed sponge would do well to pick the one with the most windows to help with airflow.
She's thinking this...

... when really, it'll be more like this.

.
Well, if you're going to have a compost pile, then you simply MUST have the communal garden plots that goes with it.
I'm sorry but shit like this makes me see red!
I'm sorry but shit like this makes me see red!Agreed! What she termed 'the American dream being alive' several days ago, is actually the 'DUmmie dream', a place to live that someone else (taxpayers) is paying for.

She'll be working at a coffee shop, and she doesn't know how to drive.

Seriously, Amber. How many people go to a new town, are homeless for several weeks, and then a job and apartment fall into their laps just like that? Next thing you know, she'll be telling us they stock the fridge and cupboards for her every week and provide free Wifi.
I know how ya feel, Jukin. Don't worry though... she will find some way to screw the arrangement up and get kicked out. :cheersmate: :cheersmate:

I don't believe a word of what she says. There is no job and no apartment. How could you doubt her story!

I agree with you and have previously said so. It was GOBUCKS that first made me think so, way back when. She's already a delusional crackpot.

19. Great news LFR! Here's rooting for you, hope you get a nice place...
I would suggest looking on the internet. I don't know specifically where to point you but there are review and comment sites out there for just about everything and anything now.
The exterminator's bill just trying to keep the bedbug infestation in check will make it cost prohibitive for the management to do anything else.
Anyone remember the Michael Keaton movie "Pacific Heights" ? Yes.
Aren't these types of living/work places temporary?
We know that this isn't a section 8 dwelling as those waiting lists are years long. She got in way too fast.
I believe this story because that is what our country has turned into. We berate the successful and productive and champion and cheer the lazy and unproductive. My only surprise is, Amber being white got into the system so fast. My best guess is that the agency had not spent all of their budget or more than there budget and had to make sure they did.
And what will happen when those working to support those that don't just give up?
