This was brought up with Allen West on Greta Van Susteren's show tonight.

The government spent $400,000 to study the cognitive ability of Tea Party members.

I could see some left wing group doing this, but where does the government come off spending tax payer money on it?  What if Bush had studied the cognitive ability of a left wing group?  The media would be hysterical and call him a fascist.
