Andy Stephenson. I still can't wrap my head around the hate.
When I think about the malicious response to what DU tried to do in helping Andy Stephenson with his grievous illness, I believe it was outright jealousy and mean-spiritedness that fueled efforts to malign Andy and others during that whole sequence of events.
It is beyond ironic those same evil bastards believe they are the "real Americans" that understand what honor and dignity are. They wrap themselves in the flag and quote the Bible as "solid religous folk".
They had better hope there is no God above watching what they do every day. Because if there is an almighty, they are for certain going down into everlasting Hellfires of Gehenna.

This does seem a bit out of the blue, I am sure. But I happen to know that up until this very day the people most central to that smear job on Andy and DU are still crowing about it as though it is something to be proud of instead of something one should beg everlasting forgiveness for.
As a side note, anyone know what EFerrari is doing? Does she post at DU?

3. I miss EFerrari too and it seems she has left DU.
There evidently was a really hateful thread against her in the former Meta. I missed it but perhaps others can fill you in. I agree with you about the hateful meanness done to Andy. I hope those responsible will get what they deserve in the end. I think they will.

If it's debatable, I wouldn't do it. But there are actually a lot of replies, if not posts, that really seem to be pretty much pure hate. And my thought is to reply to them, simply, with the word, hate.
I may try demo'ing this. I think it needs to be applied only in instances that are pretty unequivocally hateful. And they may wise up and start pulling there punches, in which case I might abandon the tactic.

So I was walking along, minding my own business, when I got knocked over. I jump up, and based upon the smell, I expect to see that I've been ran over by a manure truck, but it's snot. Snot is all smiles as he/she/it drives the Hate Train that is known as the DU Hypocritical Projection Express.
Unfortunately for snot, snot is too stupid too realize that he/she/it is actually piloting the Hate Train that is known as the DU Hypocritical Projection Express. Snot is actually so naive as to think that he/she/it is actually at the controls of the Love Train also known as the DU Help, Love, and Tolerance Express. Snot and his/her/its passengers do not realize that the DU Help, Love, and Tolerance Express does not even exist because they are all "looking through a glass darkly". Nor do they find it one bit ironic that their main source of happiness in life is attempting to run people over with the Hate Train that is known as the DU Hypocritical Projection Express.
Stupid DUmmies, but I repeat myself.
Their hypocrisy and delusion has forced me to go back into the FlippyDoo Show archives and pull a clip that I've pulled at least once before. I would think that anyone who reads it would come to the conclusion that if you were to silence the hate on DU you would be left with a website with no posts.

PW, I knew Andy. He was a great DUer...everything he said was a lie. That's why no one believed him. Andy was a known liar.
Andy's activism was based on presenting a lie as truth. Everything he said about Diebold and stolen elections was more than mere lies, it was propaganda. And that PW, is why I still do not respect him to this day.
Further, Andy never stopped lying, not until his dying day. He lived in a state where his cancer treatments were FREE. and as mentioned above, no hospital would withhold treatments over a paypal acct.
Lies, lies, lies. They defined Andy's life and death. Pretzel Warrior, learn this: a man is only as honorable as his word. Andy had no honor. My sh!t has more honor than Andy ever had.

I imagine a lot of unemployed DUmmies are fans of the show since they don't have to be anywhere in the morning.

23. I hate the Comercialism of Christmas, but the REAL Christmas isn't about shopping.
I've been asking myself, "Who would Jesus trample to get to that last laptop on sale?"
I used to love Christmas Carols, but when they start in July and when they're just used to get you in the "mood" for shopping....
BUT giving someone a nice present and seeing them happy isn't necessarily a bad thing.
I just hate being swept up in any plasticized trend. Having the love of Christmas in your heart has to be a year long goal for any real Christian. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes, and we try harder during the holidays, but if it's what you believe it doesn't stop on the morning after the wrapping paper is put away.
I honestly couldn't have put it any better than that. My head may explode; why is Tigress Dem over there? My guess? She's been brainwashed into believing no Godly person would demand a person try to do for themselves before they embark upon a career of moochery.

Bev Harris got a lot of publicity from Coast To Coast AM, an overnight radio show (midnight to 4am) that will put anyone on the air that has a good yarn or some tale of woe to sell. Or, if you don't have an interesting story to offer, anything involving Bigfoot, UFOs, or ghosts will do in a pinch. I imagine a lot of unemployed DUmmies are fans of the show since they don't have to be anywhere in the morning.
I assume Andy was just a hanger-on that saw a chance at some fame or quick cash and jumped on board Bev's little red wagon.
Yet Bev ended up being shunned and cast out from the Island; the red rounder was hoisted as a hero. They both whined and begged which is expected, approved DU MO.

Coast to Coast is the DU of talk radio without the politics. Lot of plum freaking crazies on that show.
I Loved it, Coast to Coast, back when Art Bell hosted the show. If anything could cheer me up after a crazy hard day at work was this show. When Poor Art had his nervous breakdown after his son was molested they eased in George Norrie who did a good job but lacked Art's sense of humor.
One of my favorite shows was when the long distant truckers were invited to call in about seeing late night UFOs. Most of his call ins came in west of the Mississippi, as the time difference meant it was before midnight by a couple hours. Except for us night workers most folk were sound asleep by 11PM. in the East.
Hard to resist for me anyway to not call in after work and recount my experiences with an Alien from the Dog star and get on a roll of fantasy and what not.
Unfortunately, the call ins were way above my imagination and had stolen by telepathy my ideas, what with Astral Projection, out of body experiences while sleeping or perhaps the Evil that walks about prevented me from calling in
. What fun but in the back of my mind was the disturbing thought that my ancestors 175 years ago would have rolled over laughing at the idea they had germs on their skin. Where are they, we cannot see them.
BTW as an aside, I have read that in one year in England any or the wealthy that sent their wives to a hospital for child birth not a single mother or child survived. One whole year, yet the poor who birthed at home had a 90% survival rate for both mother and child.
A good program for those that enjoy dark humor of all kinds.
Yes I do jump with flight of ideas go off subject, I have no tunnel vision on any subject, all things are related to another and when we start speaking about the price of tea in China, my mind jumps to the Spice wars of Indonesia------Sorry.

I have not the slightest doubt that had he remained, he too would have been shunned.
The DUmp doesn't like its heroes - they all get shot down eventually.
