yippee...just lined up 2 more job references, so I've got the 3 I need

now I can complete my applications and get them out tonight, and hopefully get interviews, etc. befire I get fired. I put on them that I've never been fired...I'd hate them to verify my employment there only to have just been fired....

It feels so much better to get this back under my control

Well, naturally that's all good; an employed primitive makes the world a safer place.

But one wonders what the back-story is, on this "going to get fired" bit.

3. Good you've got the references, and things under control.

Is it mandatory that you state you've never been fired, especially as it sounds like you think you will be???

An employed primitive makes his employer's business unsafe.

I understand labs look for golden seal now, so odds are good you are right.

I was at the pharmacy a while back and some dumb stoner was badgering the pharmacy girl about what he could use to pass a drug test and if she knew if it actually worked.  It was the saddest spectacle you'd ever want to see at the drugstore.

That girl deserved a raise for putting up with that shit. :-)

Thanks, sir.

It looks as if she expects to get fired from her telemarketing job.

If you like your job, you can keep your job.

My guess is that the Obama economy and Obama Care are putting the economic hurt on the company it works for. Its manager took Dennis Miller's advice and went out to the parking lot to scan for Obama or democrat stickers on cars. Its manager then put together the layoff order and is looking to just straight out fire it so the company's UE insurance payments don't go up.

I think we can all agree that the most difficult part of searching for a new job is getting your three references ducks in a row. That has been my experience anyway. I would expect DUmmy "magic" will have at least five interviews lined up by high noon Monday.

Newsflash, DUmmies:

If you're good, you don't need references.  If you suck, no number of references will help.

And if you're REALLY good, they come calling you.  You don't need to call them.  Such was the case with my latest job search.  I put out that I was interested to the folks to whom I networked for the past several years, and I had people calling me within days.  An interview by the end of that week.  A job offer two days after that.

And I know they never called anyone who I mentioned during my interviews.  You know why?  Because they already knew my work.

Small fix.

Yeah, funny how they never seem to consider not doing drugs.

Yeah not doing illegal things really isn't that hard, if you are decent person.

And wash it all down with a couple or three pints of malt liquor.

I'm missing Taverner Kregel.

I'm missing Taverner Kregel.

Taverner knows that Mexican heroin won't show up on a drug test in the US.

It does show up, but if you don't speak Spanish it's just gibberish.
