Looks like Marty jumped the shark over his stupid remarks about Palin.
PMSNBC hem-hawed around for a bit, hoping it could be swept under the rug.
Naturally, some at the DUmp think he was treated unfairly. (Probably the same that screamed for Rush to be fired)
Still a young thread.

Martin Bashir Resigns From MSNBC
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/martin-bashir-resigns-from-msnbc/
Just over two weeks ago, MSNBC host Martin Bashir delivered a harsh piece of commentary that culminated in the suggestion that someone should “s-h-i-t†in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin‘s (R-AK) mouth. Bashir offered an abject apology on his next broadcast, but a chorus of critics continued to demand action against the host. After a reported “vacation†for the host earlier this week, Bashir announced, Wednesday afternoon, that MSNBC and Martin Bashir are parting ways.
Damn! Poor baby.

1. One more good one gone Good for nothing, you mean.
He can join the ranks with Keith O et al
I loved Martin's show -he just said what we all want to say about that empty vessel with the idiot's brain Can we discuss Sandy Puke, now?

someone we liked?

17. Hmm. Things to ponder.
I mean, it could be possible, there's world where there's no difference between Sarah Palin and anyone else. And Martin Bashir could have said that about anybody. No difference. And hey, did you ever wonder if everyone sees colors the same way? I mean, how do you really know??

9. I hate the double standard.
I get being on the right side of things. And I get that what he said was impolite.
So Fox News will continue to make stuff up about freaking everything. The ABC/CBS/NBC national news will continue to make stuff up about Obama, Democratic policies.
They'll all squash stories about protests or anti-corporate actions.
It sucks that there is no place for it due to corporate ownership of the media. It's like the picture that keeps showing up here that says the only reason Madoff went to jail is that he robbed rich people. Otherwise he'd be free, golfing and still doing it.
Same thing here. Talk about a subject that even questions power, and you're gone.

15. Sarah Palin is a malignant tumor.
She infects everything she is associated with. Martin will be truly missed. I like what he said, because it showed that slavery wasn't this thing that was as subtle as the two chapters it gets in todays history books. It was a horrible part of America's history and legacy. One that a lot of Americans want swept under the rug, to never return. It tarnishes the American Exceptional ism Mantra. I wish Martin all the best. I wish Palin would shut up.

19. It was nasty of her, forcing him to say what he did.
She ought to be ashamed of making him say that.

Who is Martin Bashir and why do I care? :???:
(Actually, the only reason I've heard of him is from his comment about wanting to feed Sarah Palin feces)

He's a hero to the DUmp monkeys. One of their MSNBC idols. They love that channel.
How many of their commie propaganda artists have left that show?
Their most favorite one was Keith Olbermann.... and did he ever hate Palin.

Olberdork is back doing what he was actually entertaining at, sports. I watch a lot of sports programming, and I can never seem to find his new show on ESPN2.

1. Keith Olbermann
2. Alec Baldwin
3. Martin Bashir
I think we have enough of a trend to start an MSNBC career death pool. Would anyone else be interested in playing? I'd put my money on Tingles, just because if the Dems get heavily tromped in the upcoming elections, he seems the most emotionally unstable. That'll be a fantastic blaze of obscenities to witness.

All the PMSNBC rejects will eventually end up at Al-Jereza TV shilling for Al-Qaeda. Same act, different network.

What tendencies do you see with that one? Clearly with the "lifestyle choice" mental disorder, there is something to it. Ed Schultz would be another great candidate, in fact he's now my favorite, The guy will probably lose it in some coffee house when he finds out they're out of hazelnut syrup. The vein in his forehead will explode killing everyone inside the place.
Win- Ed Schultz
Place- Chris Matthews
Show- Mr. Rachel Maddow

I figured he was some Muslim hack at MSNBC and so was protected from responsibility for treating women like shit.
I mean, sure, A Baldwin calls homos faggot cocksuckers and gets canned (no pun) but he is an old white guy...

Got news for you, DUmbass, its gone on since the beginning of time throughout the world. It's STILL going on in other nations. I guess those people don't matter to you though because I NEVER hear you showing any compassion for them. You show a lot of compassion to slave-holding Muzzies though. In the states, however, there isn't a damn cracka ass cracka alive that's ever owned a slave nor is there a black person that's ever been a slave. Hell, come to think of it, the slave he was talking about was from Jamaica, which was property of England, the country HE holds citizenship in. This was nothing but idiotic sensationalism, ONCE AGAIN, by a stupid ass Prog to get ratings. When are you fools going to understand no matter how loud you yell, no matter how many elections you steal, YOU are not the majority?
Idiot.
-
Do the smartest DUchebags in the world know that Fecal Bashir was using a Jamaican slave owner under the Crown?
-
He deserved to get fired for such a disgusting thing, and I'm glad the DUmmies haz a sad.

If you care about Martin Bashir, can you please write Phil Griffin/MSNBC?
Griffin is the suit who has forced out so many of our voices.
Now Bashir has been forced out by the Teabaggers. He has resigned.
Are we going to let this one go, too? Yes
Or are we going to roar? You mean snivel.
Next they could come for Chris Hayes. Or Rachel. Or Ed again.
phil.griffin@nbcuni.com
He reads his own emails. I got some pie I can sell you.
Didn't quite work out the way she wanted.

Dear old addled Judy, trying desperately to be authoritative, credible, about something, anything, in this case the news media.
She really doesn't know anything of this stuff, and so should stick with topics she knows something about.

Well, that stole my thunder. Exactly where I was going. The slavery of 150 years ago, now eradicated in this country seems more important then the continued subjugation of people across the globe that continues in present day--in many places where there is not even the decency of challenge like there was from the very START of this country.
Hi-5 btw :cheersmate:

Hair in your teeth makes you smirk.....or so I've been told.

Baldwin made a few generic homo slurs and he was fired.
Bashir was NEVER fired or even disciplined.
This tells me that such disgusting language is acceptable if the target is conservative. Just don't target a liberal group. Not much a standard for a supposed news station to uphold.

Reason why the shaving came into fashion. Funny quote I have hear on the subject was from some gay male that objected to sucking anchovies through a Brillo pad.

Thanks. I have found it, but usually due to football games/basketball games running late, it always seems to be pre-empted.

I think a good way to judge the quality of a news organization is by how many anchors get fired or resign due to things that come out of their mouths.
How many is that for MSNBC now? Talk about a bunch of unprofessional, unhinged assholes.

I am really surprised that the other cable news networks haven't looked at what Fox News does and try it.
I was just checking out the numbers and Fox still gets anywhere between 2-5 times as many viewers as any of the other cable news networks. Their early morning reruns of the previous days shows get more than their prime time shows.
You would think they would get a hint, but maybe overlords are just to bias that they don't care to cost their stock holders money.
Oh well.

I never forgave Martin Bashir for that shitty job he did on Michael Jackson (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10024137600)

It would figure that Molestel Warrior would be concerned with how Jackson was portrayed.

Fox has a lot, and I mean a lot of very smart, and good looking people on their payroll. I don't see the other channels coming even close to the number of personalities that Fox uses. There are some funny ones too.
It took me awhile, but Greg Gutfeld is now one of my favorites. I watch him on the Five.

I'm curious to see or hear how Rachel Mancow, reacts to this.

I fell in love with him (in a manly way) back when he was driving the Huffpoopers nuts with his diary entries. He would get hundreds of raving spittle flecked responses interspersed with pleas for posters to ignore him.
