3. Mine was definitely a horror story, at least to me it was.

I drove up to Canton, GA, to my son's house, which is only about 20 miles north of where I live. I made it up there just fine since I only go there on holidays. Usually, I leave before the sun goes down because I am night blind. I got on the road while it was still sunny, but somewhere I made a wrong turn. But the sun was going down and I had trouble seeing road signs and made another wrong turn. After knocking on a few doors of strangers who were all very nice and got me on the right track.

Once I got onto 575, it was dark and I could barely see the lane lines. I got off on the wrong exit because I could not read the signs in the dark. I stopped at a QT to ask directions and he gave me wrong directions. I got lost again and was able to circle back and return to the station. But my driving was erratic. After I pulled into the station, a woman ran up to me and said she was driving behind me and I was all over the road, and could she call for someone to pick me up. Suddenly, two police cars showed up with sirens wailing and lights flashing. I guess someone else reported my driving.

Well, the two policemen were very nice. I explained to them that I was night blind and became lost after the sun went down. They asked if someone could pick me up and bring someone to drive my car, so I called my son, and he and his wife came. One policeman stayed with me until my son and his wife got there.

So, not all cops are bastards. Those cops were great. They didn't even ask me if I had been drinking, which luckily I had not. They just ran my license and that was it. Fortunately, I have a clean driving record, except for one speeding ticket about 5 years ago,

The primitive shouldn't be driving, period.

If my being deaf affected my competence at doing something that might put others at risk (in her case, other cars, other people), then I just wouldn't do that thing.  And it's happened before.  It's a bitch, limiting one's mobility and movement, but others shouldn't be put into possible peril just because I wanted to do something.

Other people's needs take precedence over one's own wants; where the Hell is the primitive's social conscience?

I'm glad he added that. Up until then, I was afraid this might have been a true story.

Bouncy tale.

He/she shouldn't be driving anymore than a drunk should be driving. If he/she has a accident where another person get injured, they should be held to the same standard as a drunk driver.

Why did it take the cops showing up for it to call its spawn?

Bad decision by the cops. Summary execution should have been in order.
