Title: Third term for Obama.
Post by: JohnnyReb on November 30, 2013, 05:32:02 AM
College professor says restricting Obama to 2 terms, to quote mammy from Gone With the Wind, taint fair, taint fair....it just taint fair.

College professor: When you're so smart you just can't hold a job in the real world.

Still waiting to see any actual evidence of the supposedly-superior intellect.  Every time something goes wrong it seems he was never told, had no idea, and couldn't possibly have figured it out from more warning signs than your average bridge closure.  Everything that's gone right seems to be the product of legacy programs from his predecessor.

It's his puppet master(s) that are running for a third term. He's already violated the Constitution, so violating an amendment wouldn't be a big deal for him. His roadmap is in his executive powers and executive orders. This is just a toe in the water.

Note that it's a Kollege prof that said "...a chance to vote him up or vote him down...". Look for Axelrod and Jarrett on this. Jonathan Zimmerman is a gay professor at NYU who strongly promotes homosexual issues.

This suggestion, “To what degree should the people that patronize a school be able to govern the messages a school puts out?” he asks. “I think it’s an interesting question.”, tells volumes about him.

Reggie Love might be in trouble.

And people complained that the Constitution was in danger under Nixon. You ain't seen nothin' yet!

Madison and other founding fathers spoke widely about the need for term limits to keep them accountable to the people. Much fear over a possible oligarchy forming was discussed and perpetuated over the decades. The power demonstrated by FDR in packing the Supreme Court and completely changing the role of government in the eyes of Americans is partly the result of his long tenure as President. Term limits are especially important today because the Executive branch is far more powerful then in President Washington's time. The office of President can and will be abused again, so to limit the possible damage eight years is plenty!

How about one six year term, like Senators. That should eliminate the "lame duck" presidency.

I'm okay with the status quo.

Just my two cents. :p

It may have been a simple compromise to make it 4 years. If it's 6 years I'd be against a reelection, as you may be inferring. Anyway, we get what we deserve since we vote them in ( bad or good). I submit that even if George Washington, or some other President we espouse as possibly perfect were to show up and run for President, even in that instance we should have term limits. Our government should never reflect aristocracy. We have 300,000,000 million so why is it only 1 is qualified to be the best candidate for President, especially after 4 years???

Ok. Yep. May be worth having. Have a President focused on the country as opposed to constant campaigning. However, does that make him less likely to become reckless?
