Why are internet comments sections so right wing?
As Richard Stallman said in a recent talk I attended at San Jose State, it used to be believed that the Internet would counter censorship and enhance democracy.
Sadly, the Internet is too often used to ENHANCE the right wing status quo.

28. It is a place where they can hit and run…if the conversation gets too deep they can call...
those they disagree with names, claim they are 'ANYONE' and leave and come back at will.
I compare them with soapbox preachers..screaming at the people passing by.

76. Because they dare not say the things they do in person.
They prefer the cloak of anonymity. I live in one of the most liberal states in the US, but if you read our online news comments sections, you'd think we were a bunch of ignorant, misogynist, racist, Obama-hating gun nuts, because right wing ass hats can't say the stupid shit they do online in the real world without some reasonable person shutting them down with a sane counterargument. This is the only way they can be "right".

47. There are companies that hire people to post all manner of stuff online.
So of course the RW is happy to hire those companies to post their crap.
The people they hire are freelancers for the most part, paid a pittance per post.
Stop trying to tell me that weather and climate have nothing to do with each other. Weather + Time = Climate.

59. Just so
Having observed comment sections, yahoo for instance, you have hit the nail squarely. I think this is far more prevalent than we suspect. Sock puppets being our internet comment version of "money talks."

The delicious irony of this post and no doubt it escapes them all.
I've yet to be on a forum like Breitbart that doesn't have a couple of hit and run liberals while the conservatives are having in depth conversations with each other. The lefties are always snarky and bullying, always. And their posts are amazingly stupid, with their typical arrogance. Not one of them ever offers any proof, while conservatives reply with links to validate their responses. Without fail, every single time, the leftist idiot will come back with, "you guys offer no proof for your wrong opinions" AFTER someone has replied with proof. Ironically, the liberal idiot never provides links to back up their bullshit. Then they run off all smug, like they've really gotten the advantage of us.

Why are internet comments sections so right wing? Think about it, (D)Ipshit. It's because we outnumber you. Sorry.

Will someone please tell me who is hiring for this job? Cuz I've been posting this shit gratis for over a decade now and I might as well pick up a buck or three as long as someone's paying. You don't see as many moonbats posting on open forums at "neutral" sites because they so easily get their asses handed to them. Liberals don't do well in arguments either on the intertubes or IRL without a mob to back them up and pile on.
And about those darn Koch Bros. expense vouchers, how do you claim the money orders given to Skinner for donations and stars to give away when you mole over there? I didn't realize that was reimbursable. :thatsright:

I've noticed that at RealClearPolitics, they frequently post a link to an article by that lunatic, Sally Kohn. People flock over there just to make fun of her moonbattery in her comments section. :lmao:
She was on Hannity one night as part of a panel, and she used the word "collective" 5 times in 3 sentences.

What I can't stand is when at say, Politico, there's one moonbat looking like an assigned OFA goon, post hogging every other freaking post. Saying nothing but insults, and chewing up all the real estate. I wish they had an ignore function.

I can't stand that horse-faced rugmuncher. She's like a lesbo Alan Colmes, snotty and a tireless, unstoppable spewer of Obamite talking points who is impervious to logic or reality. Of course Alan Colmes may also be a lesbian...
Well, he's married to Monica Crowley's sister. But who knows what goes on behind closed doors?
The comment sections are full of nutjobs. Just go to any news site. I actually read them and some of them make DU look sane. :mental: :o
Go to the "discuss" section of a movie at IMDB. It's where the DUmmies hang out when they take a break from the DUmp. Some even use the same moniker.
I have seen the discuss section at IMDB. It is full of crazies. :mental: Any of the DUmmies you recognize at IMDB?

Yeah. LynnSin. She hangs around with her fat ass in the "True Blood" section.
